I think that we all think we are from the same place or something.
I love culture but I forgot one of my own rules in learning about culture. Not to judge any culture simply becuase I don't understand it. Learning about culture here at susans is something else because it is crashing into itself. we seem to be one in this new e-culture but divided by our own at home cultures showing itself in our post. I got upset thinking wrongly of somethings that was said to me in my post. But I realized that I am in many countries at one time what I say could offend someone unintentinaly and could cause others to think the wrong thing of me as well. The united States has been through this and still is working out all of the things that divides it. In a way susan's looks like this to me. we all wanted something that we could not get from where we are. we came her looking for others that understand and are seeking the same things yet differents things at the same time. we too are one made from many. I did not come here to fight but to find others that understand what I am going through. we all have things incommon but we all are different at the same time.
This I can say about Susan's Place it has been the greatest e-country that I have been to. It does look as if it is having a civil war of some kind but it will get better when we realize what needed to happen. This place is evolving new people are coming here everyday all saying the samethings that we did when we came here for the first time. If I had a flag I would wave it high for my e-counrty.
Jainie,
This is the only forum I am on that allows religion and politics in the threads. There are a lot of different peoples and cultures on this forum as with the other forums I subscribe to. There are a lot of emotions posted here and a lot of those emotional fires from our fellow posters, the rest of us try to calm down. You have to be wary of the various cultures on this forum, even though most of us here are trangender.
Joe.
I got that. To night was the first attack on my wording. I hope I word better in the future. lol.
I have no idea what's going on here, but here's my input:
Recognizing cultural differences goes both ways. Sure, we can all start walking on eggshells because we might potentially offend someone. But is that really what we need to do? People on the receiving end should also learn to take cultural differences into account when reading a comment.
It's really not that hard to do.
@Lynn Thank you, I removed my posts from my topic and change the words in my topic so as to not offend but they left up the quotes from it. I don't want to be attacked and i don't want to attack. I just was trying to share my fear that I had not feel like the person that was victimizing me that night was being victimized by me in my topic.
