Had a repeat prescription for Sustanon but have been told it is out of stock at the manufacturer and they have no date set as to when it will become available again.
Anyone else been told this?
Various phone calls to Doctors later, I was told I can pick up and "alternative medication" tomorrow but I don't know what that is as yet.
Post edited to remove dosage information in name
Yes the recurrent Sustanon shortage that seems to happen every few years. You'd think that the manufacturer could learn from past shortages, but... As for the alternative product, be careful. I have heard of guys being given gel as an alternative. Be sure to talk to your doctor about whatever they give you before you take it.
Yeah they didn't make enough Sustanon so a lot of people have this problem. I've now been prescribed Testosterone Enantate, both my nurse and the GIC I go to recommended that.
My mum works in a pharmacy so she always rings the suppliers and manufacturers for me when this stuff happens.
Sustanon was temporarily discontinued a couple of months ago and was supposed to be back by now. They're now saying the end of November.
Most people on Sustanon have been switched to Enantate (including myself). However someone told me the same was happening with that so we were straight on the phone to the suppliers today and it turns out that there are with Enantate. They say it won't be returning until the end of November either. If you can find any pharmacies that still have some in stock, snap it up before it disappears.
(That's what we've been told by AAH who supply to Lloyds)
My GP has refused to prescribe anything other than tablets, which is obviously not ok. So I've spoken to the Gender Clinic and they've said all injectable forms are out of stock except Nebido and have no dates set for when they will be available again.
Since I want to be able to manage my medication myself and not have to go to the nurse every 10-12 weeks, I've asked them to speak to my GP and *persuade* him to prescribe me gel. Nervous about switching though, I'm happy on Sustanon.

Thanks for the link.
Is anyone managing to get hold of Sustanon or Enanthate yet?
I was under the belief that Sustanon was still out of stock. I take Primoteston myself and when I started T last November, my doctor told me that usually she'd prescribe Sustanon, but it had been out of stock for a while.
I'm in Australia and on Primoteston (Enanthate), too - Sustanon didn't even show up on my GP's list of available T products so I assume something's still amiss. I won't even consider ever switching to it just because there seems to be supply issues constantly.
Who in this topic was unaware of ToS Rule 8; that the medication "Sustanon" contains "testosterone propionate, testosterone decanoate, testosterone phenylpropionate, and testosterone isocaproate;" and that the number associated with the name is one of the available dosages of the medication?
Sorry, Jaime - as I am unfamiliar with Sustanon specifically, I did not know that the number was the dosage.
The reason this topic is not deleted and still unlocked is because the original poster (OP) is providing information on the the availability of medications important to the FtM community.
The reason every post made up until the moderator intervened is that it violated one of the most adamantly enforced rules here - the posting of dosage information. It is a rule, when violated, that has and will get a violator banned.
The underlying rationale for the rule is two-fold. First, self-medication is dangerous business. It is the policy of this site to discourage the practice and to discourage the facilitation of this practice. Second, if a person were to hurt or kill themselves from information found on this site, it could put the site a legal jeopardy, and effect all of our over 7,000 members. We do not aid or abet self-medicators.
The troubling aspect of these posts is that there were posters on the thread who have been members in good standing for years. Usually, it is a brand new member who violates the rule. But here, no one modified their post title; no one reported the post, and some even mentioned the dosage in the med of their post, based on their past experience.
Let me add that there are several medications on the MtF side with the same sort of naming problem. And the discussion of the medication Diane-35 has been forbidden by the site owner.
I had no idea that it was a dosage and I know many other people don't either. I've actually seen people say it's part of the name. :-\
I'm sorry everyone is now being watched but that is the trade name of the medication and I don't agree that I posted anything to encourage self-medicating.
Self-medicating is a dangerous and ill-advised thing to do and I don't advocate it.
I don't know because I'm not on any medication, and I don't know if it's possible for it to be answered on here or if it would be violating the rules, but I don't understand how it would be giving away the dosage, doesn't the number just refer to the size of the vials and not tell you how much or how often to take at once? I'd understand if this can't be answered on here and know it's not on topic, but it's been bothering me.
Questions about the site policies or staff actions should be taken up via PM or email, not discussed on the forums. Thank you, Devlyn
I have no idea with sustanon even is... ???
I thought ftms couldn't self med anyway since customs is so strict about importing steroids and anything testosterone related. Especially if you don't have a script...

Sustanon is a type of T, the different types refer to what the T is actually suspended in I think, although I could be wrong. There are ways of self-medicating, but I'm obviously not going into that on here, nor do I do it.

Alec, you don't have the benefit of seeing what was deleted from the title and the text of some of the posts.
I am very approachable and members can p.m. me any time they want if they have questions. I have only heard from one, who received no warning at all.
I spent some time researching this medication, overnight, before issuing any warnings. My research indicated that the vials of the medication have come in three sizes and that it is designed for a single use application.
It is incumbent on the members who post the information to delete the dosage information, even if it is part of the trade name. Any member can contact a moderator or administrator for clarification prior to posting.
Another problem with Sustanon is that it is one of the most widely abused medications, especially in the lifting community.
If I erred here, it was on the side of caution.
I have a friend who uses roids, very impressive muscles and stuff.
I'm sure it's dangerous though, but if people want to hurt themselves regardless I couldn't care less 8)
Adam, the point of a support site is to care about the other members. No one here should dismiss another human hurting themselves. My two cents worth. Hugs, Devlyn

I'm not saying I don't care off the bat, just that if you've been repeatedly warned...
As my ->-bleeped-<- hooker friend would say "das ya business".
