Title: Breaking out (a lot)
Post by: N.Chaos on November 05, 2011, 01:42:05 PM
Does this happen to anyone else?
Its starting to piss me right the hell off. One of the few things I've ever liked about myself is that I've always had good skin, even during puberty, I'd get one here or there but never like this. I've got like...20 of the goddamn things across my cheeks and chin.

I barely eat anything greasy, use face scrub fairly often, I just don't get it. I've been shaving for months now, I'm not on T, I can't think of anything that'd be doing it.

It's pissing me off, though. And they're painful. I've actually gone back to using concealer when I go out of the house, because it just looks nasty as hell.

Halp?

It may just be hormonal. I use to have really bad acne. Nothing made it better. Proactive, dieting, face wash, etc. Nothing helped. Once I started taking estrogen and blocking T, my face is clear and smooth.

as it said it can as well be homones or stress or many other reasons than your diet.

I dont have the worst skin but have some spots I had for a year around, I got told if it turn bad I could go to my doctor and seach threatment,
I bet you could do as well, maybe also figure out what the reason for it, IDK

Eh, I could but I won't I avoid the doctor unless I'm practically on my deathbed really, for a variety of reasons, not the least of which being I want to crawl into the tile grout and hide when they scream out that goddamned name.
I've thought about slipping them a note when I sign in, asking them to call me a different name, but I've got the constant expectation/assumption that they'll do it anyway just to spite me.

uhm I see,
I know the felling about doctors, pretty much hate most of them, since they give me this unconfortbla fellings before with my name but also after I chance it they still have my female card which suchs, and I are kinda scared of making to much a mess about it because I heard about many doctors who wasnt transfrindly and so.

but its so far the only thing I think could be helpfull, beside experiencing with yourself what would work or not, which I think can be alittle tricky to find out all exactly, maybe its stress, maybe something ells, maybe a mix of some diffrent stuff?

Yeah, the ID doesn't help much either. I'm hoping to have that remedied, at least the damn name, as soon as we've got the funds.

I'll probably dig around online for a while, check into cleansers and stuff, or just talk to my auntie. She's like a walking encyclopedia of herbal remedies and stuff like that, she's gotta have (or at least know of) something I can give a shot.

Food or hormones I would say are the main culprits.

Lol, fair enough. Not sure what's bringing on this second puberty but I'm down with it. Guess I'm probably due for some zits after all these years anyway.

since you said you aren't taking T....

it's probably stress or diet related as others have said but...

did you by chance change laundry soap recently? reaction with the pillow case may be the sudden culprit, especially if you sweat at all during the night. your face is pressed up against it for hours on end, you'd be surprised at how much changing the soap, cases or getting new pillows all together can help, especially if the pillows themselves are older.  they collect tons of face dirt over time, even if you are a super clean person.

Still using the same stuff as ever, but now that I think of it (and this is really kind of gross) my pillowcase probably hasn't been washed in a month or two. Good thing we've got money for laundry tonight X_X
