Obviously dont tell us exactly where you work, or the company name or anything, but what kind of setting do you work in?
I'm in healthcare. Currently I work in retail stores (as an RN), but eventually I'll either be in a medical office, my own office, or independently out in the "field."
Crafts store, though I feel like I totally just gave it away xD
I work on avionics in a semi-cleanroom. Then I go home and do the work that matters, cooking!
I'm still in school, but two days a week I work at a social service agency that works with adults with chronic mental illnesses. There are 14 or so people who work in one big office there. In the evenings I work in a kitchen.
I work for a photography studio, but I work doing editing soooo I said art studio.
I work in an open plan office, part of a small project and surrounded by other small projects.
I'm unemployed right now..
i work in a bloody kitchen
Various construction sites around the world, inside and outside.
Jenny
I selected retail storefront but now that I think about it I could have picked another too. I'm starting to make and sale crocheted beanies to help pay for top surgery so I could have picked "my own office" I guess.

That's interesting. Do you like give flu shots or something? I've never heard of an RN working at a retail store.
i was going to click 'kitchen' but it's not totally accurate. i work in an elementary school lunchroom, but i don't serve the food. i help the kids - throw away their trash, get em utensils/condiments, etc. so yeah i'm a 'lunchlady' :D it's an awesome job though, i love it. it's so fun. my second job starts in a week, i work in a mall with a company doing the pictures of kids with santa. also an amazing job. can you tell i like working with children? haha

Yep. Flu and pneumonia. There are also general clinics, mostly run by NPs, in places like Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Wal-greens, CVS, etc. The company I work for is launching a pilot program soon that would allow us to find our own locations, do immunizations and health screenings, and get paid on a per shot/screening basis. I'm really excited for it and hope to get chosen.
I work in an office doing office work, but it's not my own office, however that's what I selected.
I am wondering what the point of this thread is, though :P
Like, what's the point of knowing what kind of condition we work in? lol
I work in a LGBTQ-centered student affairs office at a college campus. :)
I work in the restaurant of a country club.
I work in a bakery making all sorts of yummy cakes and pies. :D
Just a regular office, desk job.
Retail - both on cash and taking donations.
Mostly theaters and nightclubs, but throughout the year I'll also put in some days in Golden Gate Park, at the baseball park and in the convention centers.
I'm looking for a retail pharmacy technician job at the moment, but my last job was in a small jewelry repair shop that reminded me of Dick Tracy's office.
I work in a music shop
I'm a retail slave in a department store. I work in shoes. And I'm now being driven slowly insane by holiday music.
I have my own cubical in the back corner. >:-)
currently I dont work since im in school and its famely tradition that when you are in school you dont work and my parrents will pay my education for free.

Hospitals-"The Floor". :icon_chillpill:
Best job ever. I'm a stay at home dad now. I am retired military and waiting for college to start.
No real reason for starting this thread, just curious.
I mostly work in a sort of cubicle in an inbound call center. Its set up in these weird blocks of 4 desks per 'cube' and I have the one with a window in mine.
When I'm not at my desk, I sometimes work in the retail store that my company also has, but thats mostly just during the summer.
I cant believe I didnt think of hospitals when I set up the poll.
I share an office with 1 other person. They sneeze very loudly at least once a day.
Well in the poll I selected vehicle, but really my 'job' is where people need me and can be literally ANYWHERE!! I'm an on road, Advanced Care Paramedic :D
I work in a tiny apartment in a really big complex. I'm a stay at home parent of an intelligent and loving but very very difficult preteen girl. We see her psychiatrist every two weeks, and various therapists, teachers, and support staff daily. So I work in the field a bit, too, I suppose.
I try to do volunteer work occasionally, but that's usually not more than once a month.
I am an entrepreneur so I chose my own office. I do personal chef work, music/art social networking and media relations consulting and am launching a dry goods/tea company this month (hopefully!)

that's awesome, good luck with the tea company. are you going to hold inventory and then resell at a storefront or are you opening a website and shipping products to people?
Movie theater. A little retail, a little kitchen, a lot of office. :P

Thanks. I am planning on starting with web or person to person based orders then I will see where it goes. I source raw product and make my own blends and infusions so keeping it small right now is the best way for me to control quality.
No where right now but I would like to work at a distribution center one day after college.

Lol. This nearly made me die. I feel your pain, man. 3 years working in a grocery store as cashier/cart retrieval. I HATE the holidays for this reason. I hear the music for at least 3 months straight -_-
Supermarket, chopping and wrapping fruit and vegetables. I don't work in the store front very often but I do spend time making sure that the fresh produce section is up to code so I checked retail.
I work in a cube farm.
While I am mostly retired, I still do the occasional paralegal work for one lawyer.
I'm currently a student but worked a bit of a variety of jobs, ranging from table busing, reception in a massage clinic, packing/shipping, customer service, cashier, and sales manager. I marked own office and art studio though since my last job was as a graphic designer. Hoping after I graduate, I can get into a film studio :D
I choose my own office although that is somewhat left to interpretation I guess. My own office consists of my own enclosed (floor to ceiling walls w/ a door and a side window) room within several multiple offices all similiarly arranged with cubicles in the center open space. Our office is pretty open so the doors to most office are constantly open all the time. I do have my own defined space, but privacyu is what you make it with the walls being thin and sound traveling through them fairly easily.
I'm a tech at an eye doctor's place. Discount glasses and contact lenses? Hell yes.
Rehab... I am a drug and alcohol worker.
Pottery studio
I'm unemployed but starting this friday I start with a fellowship that gives training and eventually a qualification. I'll be working mostly at a park but also at a garden centre and sometimes we will be sorting peoples gardens out for them if the are old/disabled.

For the retail position I'm just walking around the store helping customers.
For the position at my college I sit in some dude's office that becomes mine for x amount of hours per week. I walk around campus as needed - it's chill, I love it.
