Title: Nebido hormone issues help!
Post by: JackKnight on November 06, 2011, 06:24:03 PM
Hi, I need some help/advise from any guys out there who are or have been on the T-hormone Nebido. I was on Sustanon  for about a year with no problems and no monthly issues, then the manufacturer stopped making the damn thing so after doing a lot of running around I managed to track down an alternative, Nebido. So for October I had my first injection of the new stuff, dose every 12 weeks rather than the sustanon  dose every 4 weeks. However, over the last couple of days I've had killer stomach cramps and yesterday I started bleeding, I didn't know what the f**k was going on and then it suddenly occurred to me that this might be a period. Now, I've not had one of those for a long while and to be honest, I wasn't expecting to have one ever again so this worries the crap out of me. What the hell is going on?? Like I said, I need some advise here, anyone else on nebido? This happen to anyone else? Any solutions?? Help!!!!

Maybe your body does not take up Nebido as fast as it needs to, or maybe it is just the switch that is causing this, meaning your body is used to a certain amount of T at a certain rate, and slightest change in this was enough of a break to cause a period. Did you run out of T in your system before you got hold of Nebido?

Maybe if you wait it out your periods could simply stop again, but I really think you should ask an endocrinologist about this if you're worried.

I'm 5 months on Nebido, and at 4 months I still had the periods, still waiting anxiously hoping that I won't get another one this month.
I asked my doctor for E-blockers, but since my bloodwork shows I actually am in perfectly male range of Testosterone he refused to give me any, because the "main effects" of T still happen even though I have high estrogen. All I'm told is that my ovaries "will" eventually give up, it's just a matter of time :/

Cool thanks, I'm definitely going to bring this up with the doctor. I've got an appointment with her this week anyway already, I was gonna chew her out for her completely blasé attitude to me not being able to get my usual sustanon, I think I'm even more cross now. If she'd have given a crap and helped me this might not have happened.

Jack,

Did you get my PM (msg)?

Just a friendly reminder from the TOS concerning posts on HRT;

8. The discussion of hormone replacement therapy(HRT) and it's medications are permitted, with the following limitations:

    A. Advocating for or against a specific medication or combinations of medications for personal gain is strictly prohibited.
    B. Discussing the means to acquire HRT medications without a prescription, and self medication without a doctors care is prohibited.
    C. Discussing dosages is strongly discouraged to prevent information obtained on this site from being used to self medicate.

We can not in good conscience condone the self administering of these medications. Not only may self medication be illegal, but HRT medications can cause serious health problems, and many have the potential for life-threatening side effects that can only be detected and prevented with proper medical supervision.

the dosage might actually be too high as well - as excess testosterone is converted into estrogen.

I used Nebido..but in my case I used it just the same way as Sust.
Not a recommendation...just a personal experience.
I have to say though that it just didnt feel like it was doing anything...though thank god I didnt get a period like you did!
