It's time to prepare, not only for the onslaught of family for the holidays but for the annual influx of seasonal movies about family invading for the holidays. Adam Sandler takes on the format in "Jack and Jill," which opens Friday. His twist? He plays two characters — Jack Sadelstein and his twin sister, Jill, who turns Jack's life upside down every year with her Thanksgiving visit.
"Jack and Jill" is not the first movie in which an actor steps out of gender to take on dual roles. Sandler is following a well-trodden path. But will "Jack and Jill" become a classic, like a few on our list, or will Sandler end up wishing he never put on that skirt?
