Title: Video blogging for my transition
Post by: Morgan. on November 08, 2011, 10:29:18 PM
Hi everyone  :)

This is going to seem like shameless self promotion but I promise it's not!
I've seen a lot of guys (and girls) doing video blogs to record their transition so I've decided to do the same with the help of my girlfriend.

I had my first shot on Monday so I decided I'd make an initial video so I can watch how much my voice changes on the 1 month mark, 2 months, 3 months etc.

If anyone's interested in following it, here's the link:

Oh, and also, I made this to see if anyone else is doing the same sort of thing by any chance? If they are, could you link me to it? I'd love to have a look at everyone else's physical changes/themselves discussing emotional changes also.

thanks for posting your video, it's cool to see people's progress over time. I'm sure you'll appreciate having them for your own records if nothing else to compare changes like voice and facial shape.

Exactly  :) instead of just recording my voice, I figured it'd be better to actually take a video too because I think my face shape changes will be a much bigger deal for me, seeing as my cheekbones/jaw is really what hampers me from passing well most of the time. Not to mention, I need a new haircut! I have to figure out what'll suit me when it starts to change shape. :)

Hope I'm not being a pain by *bumping* this, but I made a second video for a 10 day on T update if anyone's interested :)

Oh wow at your new one.
I heard your voice change like 3 different times.

I'm not making fun of you, I think that's cool (:
I bet you're excited! :D

I'll check out your videos in a bit :) Just wanted to let you know that most ftm youtube vloggers end up with their pictures/links on an anti-trans website, so give that some consideration if your videos are public.

Hahah, thank you! I'm quite excited, I'm just hoping it keeps changing at the same pace and I might have a beard sooner than I thought :P wishful thinking.

Yeah, I know trans vloggers can get quite a bit of hate online and I will take a look at the privacy settings and mess with them a little. Thanks for the heads up Sam!

I do this and I get unpleasant people.

Just keep doing it, they're on the internet far away in a lot of cases. If the heat gets too intense, file a report in the city they live.
