Hiya, I was just kinda curious if anyone had some handy GENERAL timelines for transition?
Like (totally off the top of my head)
Hair removal (laser) - 9 - 12 months
FFS (nose) - 12 month recovery (80 percent of swelling diminished within first 2 weeks)
Breast growth - 1-3 years (most development ~80 percent~ within first 12 months)
Muscle loss - 1-2 years (most happening within X amount of time)
And so on and so on....
Just thought if someone had a list like this available (or we could make one) it would be pretty handy to get an idea of what to expect and when we should start getting worried if we aren't seeing the results we would like. So, like, after 2 years if someone wasn't happy with the effect hormones were having on their face... it might let them know it was time to start looking at other options.
I'm at almost 8 months now, and I'm just not sure what the timelines for a lot of things are...

Oooo, thanks! :D
There are no set in stone timeliness, you need to transition at a pace you are comfortable with, genetics and age play a large part in how well your body responds to hormones.
Facial hair removal takes a long time and can cost as much as GCS, i had one year of laser sessions, they took care of the dark hairs but left the white/gray ones, so far i have had over two years and 100 hours of electrolysis, total for both so far is around 13k, i have about another year of shorter visits to completely clear my facial and neck hair, total spent on everything for my GCS was right around 20k i know people that have had 400 - 500 hours of electrolysis, it all depends on how hairy you are.
I fully transitioned in three years, this includes GCS, i know some who did it in eighteen months and others that took four or more years.
This is not a race where you sprint to the end it is a marathon so you need to pace yourself.

Lies! It's totally a sprint! My SRS will be exactly 16 months from when I first walked into a gender therapist's office (unless I get a cancellation). Saw therapist in November 2010, came out to family in December, started hormones in January 2011, started hair removal in May, name change & went full time in July, FFS in August, and SRS will be March 2012.
Seriously though, some of us just want to get it all the hell over with. :)
2 1/2 years HRT. 7 months upping the look. Cattiness- forever
Been out of various closets since 1997 though.
