THE family of a killer who battered a disabled man to death have spoken of their continued anguish.

Robert Page was 24 when he killed his then neighbour Clive White in an horrific attack in Rectory Road, Sittingbourne, in 2000.

Now 35, he hit the headlines again this month when it was revealed in a national newspaper that he is undergoing sex change treatment in Wakefield Prison in Yorkshire – paid for by the NHS – to the disgust of his victim's family.

Page's relatives, many of whom still live in Sittingbourne, say they know little of his intentions.

However, the exposure has brought the turmoil of being related to a killer to the surface again.

Page's sister, Lisa Knight, 31, from Sittingbourne, said: "It's not right what my brother did to that man. We know what he did was wrong and he's doing his time for what he's done.
