On November 16th 2011, the Polish Vice-Minister of Justice Zbigniew Wrona declared that new regulations for transgender people are in need.

Wrona also stated that an inter-department workgroup should supervise the creation of a law on gender recognition. The current legal situation will be discussed by the Minister of International Affairs, Minister of Health, Minister of Labour and the representatives of the Codifying Commissions (an internal commission of the Polish Ministry of Justice). Wrona awaits that the process of consultation will also involve "persons interested in the subject".
