Title: Going to see Dr. Bowers
Post by: Melody Maia on November 29, 2011, 09:28:29 PM
Hey everyone,
My insurance company is making me go see my surgeon, Dr. Bowers, for an evaluation before they will approve my surgery. So, I will be spending more money than I want for a quick trip to San Mateo in a bit under two weeks. Can anyone tell me what that evaluation might entail? I am actually a bit nervous about it.

I am getting so close now. I can't believe my dream is going to come true.

Probably a physical, an interview, and a rundown of costs and consequences.

Dunno, where's a post op when you need one?

They all do an evaluation.  Nothing to worry about.  Ask lots of questions!

Yes, ask lots of questions. Start writing down your questions now as you think of them so you don't forget at the evaluation. Doctors like that; it shows that you care and are well informed.
Good luck and please keep us posted. I am so envious of you. :)

I live in San Mateo and had been considering Dr. Bowers for SRS, assuming she's still practicing by the time I've got the $$$ for it.

I know that I shouldn't choose a surgeon based on how close she or he is to where I live, but I have heard that she does good work.

Please, do keep us posted on how things go!
