Title: Any experiences with Dr. Mayer?

So it seems the Beverly Hills Institute of ARS has a Dr. Mayer who specializes and seems to be quite experienced with FFS and even Voice Surgery. He seems to have an extremely realistic touch most of the time, and does literally every procedure (even skin treatments) under one roof. Best of all, he seems to handle a lot of patients my age who are looking for a realistic, passing look that is needed in today's male-to-female. Personally, I'd hope my final look will be a cross between Karissa and Alexis, becuase I look a lot like those two patients - he even does Revision Rhinoplasty, and is possibly the only FFS surgeon to do this for MTF patients (I desperately need a 2nd nasal revision.)

Anyone have any experiences with this place?

I used to scour the internet in search of the best facial feminization surgeons. Dr. Toby Mayer, and Dr. Stephen Pincus ended up being at the top of my list not only because they are experienced, but because they are two of the few surgeons who will apparently turn down your requests for a procedure if they feel you won't benefit from it. Dr. Pincus makes his job his life and often goes out of his way to learn more about facial feminization and what makes a face "beautiful". Dr. Toby Mayer is especially known for saving patients money by combining different procedures at the same time during surgery with his skilled techniques.
So I have to say that both Dr. Pincus and Dr. Mayer are great surgeons even though I have no personal experience with either of them

In the end, I decided against having cosmetic surgery because day after day I find myself becoming more female in appearance, and gaining more confidence in my looks from taking hormones alone.

Agreed.

Yeah, to be honest, his voice surgery results all sound like the person has a raspy cold, it is indeed somewhat neat that he has pioneered the surgery though, for patients who desperately want it. I've always considered voice surgery not exactly for my tone (though it could use it), but more because when I talk, my voice sounds very muffled and "thick" (not clear at all), and I think my voice box has a part that is overgrown and putting pressure on my chords. I've always wanted to look into it.

So Dr. Mayer's office responded to one of my emails (where I provided them with my own morph photos) and they really sent a super-kind email that was only partially automated (a very good sign in a world where all surgeon emails are entirely copied and pasted rather badly) and they've been the nicest to me yet. Not horrible prices either: A brow life + brow shave: $7,000 and a Rhinoplasty: $9,000 (that may be Revision Rhinoplasty costs, not sure.) For the results Dr. Mayer and his colleague seems to have, the prices seem worth it.

I received an email from another renowned non-FFS Revision Rhinoplasty specialist as well (not saying this surgeon's name), but this other surgeon's secretary just copied and pasted an entire email, and I told her off quite profoundly because I only asked the practice if they had an open-minded policy toward Transitioning patients who required feminine results on a natal male, and not one sentence of the reply addressed that single question. It's plain rude to copy and paste replies, it's not becoming to a surgeon who makes a living off of providing tailored results to every individual person who has a complicated surgical past and complicated inner soul.

I'm fine with coping and pasting when it comes to listing the surgical prices in email and the "standard stuff", but a receptionist can at least type a couple sentences while she's sitting there listening to Black Eyed Peas all day long, like Dr. Mayer's receptionist very kindly took her time to do! It really shows which practices care about their patients!

All the emails I sent to Dr Mayer's email never got a response back. I got fed up.
