So I accidentally left my estradiol pills in my cold, 10 degree car for about 8 hours. The information sheet that came with the pills says to store them between 15 and 30 degrees.
How worried should I be about the condition of my pills? Are they like... less effective now, or something?
the damage from low temp (but above 0 C) isn't anywhere close to as bad as high temp damage.
cool beans
I've got a friend who's a pharmacist.. he suggests for me to keep most medications on the fridge...sepecially antibiotics
so i wouldnt think that wouldv'e hurt the potency,if your worried ask the pharmacist [on your friends behalf] ;)

it would take more than a day to damage them enough for it to be significant, unless they're staying in really hot temps
I'd been getting my estrogen shipped to me during the summer in Louisiana, during a time when temps were 90-95 by noon and averaging @ 105 during August. They did fine after sitting in a metal mailbox from 9am (when the mail man usually comes) to 5:30pm (when I usually get home). I'd been taking that batch til my next blood test. I believe they were fine cuz.. well.. a couple months later my serum tests showed my levels to be within female range :)
I'm sure they're fine, hon.
Alright! This is all great news.
Thank you, everyone!
