Okay. I'm a bit confused. I know dreams usually don't mean anything. But I've had quite a few trans dreams lately. In all of them I'm female, but sometimes with male characteristics. I'm almost always in public in these dreams and end up having the humiliated feeling and everyone stares at me. In the waking world, I am having more and more days where I really start to hate my female chest. When watching movies, I always picture myself in the guys situation. But it's the being female in my dreams that bothers and confuses me. Has anyone else had similar experiences? ???
yeah i used to be female in many of my dreams.....not that i live full time as male, i'm male in my dreams. dreams basically depict tiny pieces of your reality, your daydreams, and your fears, all mixed together with a lot of other input....so yeah.

Hmm makes sense. God I hate how they feel so real though.
Well you're still living and presenting as female so it would make sense. I think I was like that before, too.
I keep having pretty much the same experience, but with genders reversed. So you are not alone.
I wouldn't take dreams too seriously. I have had many dreams where I am female or basically sexless like a Ken doll. Just without the muscle definition. But, I have also had dreams where I am a cartoon/anime/comic character, dreams where I look like a video game character, and probably my favorite weird dream was one where I was a talking dog.
Dreams are often influenced by how we live from day to day, things that we see but don't notice, things we watch/read/etc.
But to answer your question, yes. I have dreams that I am still living as female. I think it is just an influence of a lot of different things. The fact that I am still seen as female outside of my house affects my dreams, I am sure.
I didn't start having dreams where I was a woman until I started living as a woman full-time. It hasn't been steady though. Sometimes I still dream I am a man and it is a bit disturbing.

I agree that it doesn't mean much. I was always male in my dreams until I started presenting myself as more feminine. After that it was about even between male, female, and genderless. It might switch again as I transition. Does it really matter though? They're just dreams.
I'm ftm in most of my dreams. The other day I dreamed about peeing standing up, and it was at a urinal, but it was definitely with girl parts. You don't have to take your dreams very seriously if you don't feel like it.
Most of my dreams are from the third person "God" perspective, so if there was ever a guy or girl that remotely looked liked me, I generally assumed that it was. For those rare dreams that I experienced instead of watched, there was never any indication as to whether I was male or female, so I never questioned it. Dreams are weird but they're supposed reflect personal thoughts, fears, doubts and hopes - I wouldn't look too far into them unless they're repetitive and costing you sleep, though.
hi dude, I am doing alittle dream analysing, I could try analyse your dreams,
and then I could tell you alittle about it,
if you would like,
Come to think of it, my very favorite dream involved my being a kind of androgynous individual, and seduced, dominated, and penetrated by a beautiful and magical and powerful female up in a castle tower. Decidedly not a masculine scenario, but I felt like a very strong and happy man afterward.

this is my experience too. I only had just a handful of dreams that I was a girl but since I have been fulltime it's mostly me a girl.
I do have an occasional dream where my gender is clouded and yes, it can be very disturbing.

btw dont remember if I have asked you and its pretty out of topic but are you scandinavian?
Personally, I like to believe that dreams are just a re-manifestation of the thoughts you had through out the day. I like to think it's like your brains processing your thoughts that day.
That could be completely wrong, but I just like to believe it, lol.
So for me, if I had a dream like that, I would only interpret it to mean that I had thoughts about how I look like a female, and I had thoughts about wanting to dress like a guy.
I had an interesting dream once, a couple years back, where I saw myself as a girl, but I was running around without a shirt on. From the looks of it, I was rather embarressed of my chest, but no one seemed to notice besides me, so I eventually got over it and continued to run around. Looking back on it now, I find it to be one of my favorite dreams because although my body was female, I was seen and treated as another guy. ;D
Funny how I had this dream way before I even knew what the word transgender meant.

Last night I had the coolest dream ever. I was the ultimate badass. Totally male (though idk if transmale or cismale), totally tough and vicious and happy, even with a pretty small body. I had black hair for some reason, and everything was a little more angular and digital-looking than it is in real life. Lots of tall buildings, no sunlight, maybe a dome over the city or smog or something. I had an Akira-ish motorcycle and I knew what I was doing. I fought people and played very graceful and deadly games. It was like finally being awake and alive and unburdened. Finally breathing. Nothing was wrong, I wasn't hurting anybody (yes I know that idea clashes with the idea that I was deadly and vicious) and nobody was hurting me. Life was as it should be.
I hope I have more dreams like that.

now I got 2 last names so I can easly erase one of them, I think I can chance my last name but havent looked it up so much.
its harder to chance your first, you can only chance it to you biological gender or unisex,

I see. Do I have to go to court or anything like that for a name change? I am sorta nervous about that.
PS but I live in Canada!

It was more annoying like WTF? Why can't I pee the way I am supposed to?
I can see why that would be annoying. This is a little off topic but I am strongly considering bottom surgery. I am terrified of getting the surgery and having a dream like that the day after XD

I'm considering it too. It would require getting included in somebody's will or getting off my ass and inventing something or whatever, but I'm starting to think if I had enough money...I don't even care if it's a hackjob, I'd feel so much better if I had a real cock, or at least something closer to one. I used to think why bother, I've got bigger priorities, and the science for that is crap. But the older I get the more my standards get lower and my goals get higher. Life is so short, and we got ripped off so terribly.
And hey guys, the dream where I was peeing standing up was a GOOD dream. I wasn't, like, considering the bigger picture. It was simply better than what I have now. Right now if I pee in the woods I'm pretty proud if none of it gets on my shoe.
In all of my dreams I've had a body that wasn't distinguished as one gender or the other. I very rarely see my own body in dreams, they are usually first person.

Sometimes I'm this too.
Felix, I second you!!
It took me a few months after coming out to switch to female in my dreams... It happens around the time you start to truly feel like your affirmed gender. :) Sometimes I have nightmares that my hormones stop working and I get really ugly, it's awful. >.<
Sorry to hear that fuschia. I've had my fair share of nightmares (not trans related) but they were still pretty bad. Really bad part is some of them took place in my own house which causes me to feel uncomfortable when I walk into those rooms now.
I find that those dreams stop if you use an STP regularly or pack to bed. I find sleeping a lot easier when I pack because I feel more comfortable with myself.

I'm not sure how I'd feel about packing. To me I think it would personally feel uncomfortable. That's why I don't plan on it, because in public I feel like it would just be more awkward.
im either completely male in my dreams or im myself. so yeah do you see yourself as female bodied or female identified in your dreams or both? because i see myself as female bodied a lot.
I see myself as completely female bodied with girly features too like long hair, makeup, in a dress. It's very infuriating. Sometimes it is also a third person view.
I used to have dreams after my surgery where Mr. Johnson would pop out. It was such a nightmare! But I've always had dreams that are most disturbing. These days, I seem to have either pleasant dreams or dreams I can't remember.
@ Cindi, I also have amazing dreams where I wake up crying when I realize they weren't true and I wanted them so badly to happen. Example recently, like a couple weeks ago, I had a dream that I was kissing the girl I have a major crush on. It actually almost went further then kissing. The nightmare was when I woke up ;D >:( :(

Just try it. It might make you feel comfortable, it might not. It is worth a try.
By the way, Cody, just putting this out there and it's unrelated to the topic. If "Cody Jensen" is your real name you might want to consider taking it off this site. If someone types your name into Google, all your posts will come up as search results. This will be problematic in the future if you ever want to live as "stealth". I also realize it's a relatively common name, but still I wouldn't risk it.
Thanks Gifted. I didn't think about that at all... well technically it's not my real name as I am still living under my female name (totally different from Cody Jensen XD) and and presenting as female and such, but I was planning on changing it to Cody (not sure about Jensen) in the future.

I think if I start packing I'll want to take it to bed too. I don't right now because I don't like to wear underwear or spend money, but I've looked at glue-on things that seemed interesting.

I think that this changes during transition, while living as female, you are female in your dreams, then as you start to transition you are both, or half in your dreams, the further you go the more male you will be in your dreams
I think its because dreams are based on snippets in your own life

thats basically how it was for me, except for way back when i was really young like around 5 i knew i was male and i only saw myself that way and i remember being male in my dreams. then after puberty n stuff i was always female in my dreams. at the beggining of my transition i was mostly female in my dreams, and the more i passed, the more dreams i would have as male. now all my dreams i am exactly how i am in real life. i live as me michael 100% of the time, i only present as male and thats how i am in my dreams now.
