So, exactly a year ago, I looked like this:

That is the second-to-last boy photo ever taken of me. Tomorrow will be 14 months on HRT and the day after, Dec. 7th, I will be exactly 2 months from SRS. I can't believe how far I've come or how fast the time has gone. I am finally seeing the finish line to this stage of my life and I am so grateful to all those who have supported me and at how well things have gone.
:icon_hug:
You have blossomed into a beautiful woman.
Congrats! I wish you the best!!!
Hugs Melody.
I think of you often. I was in the shops and a little girl had a mini mouse T-shirt on and I immediately thought of you and how you were going
Hugs
Cindy
WOW. hard work pays off
You look great, a dramatic change in a short time :)
Thank you ladies. I have put in so much work and I am so grateful it has worked out.
Cindy, I think of you too. So far away, but near to my heart. Thank you so much for those late night (at least to me) words of encouragement when I needed them.
You go girl !
Yay, it's encouraging to see your progress. I'm just starting to get things done and people like you give me hope. I'm happy that another one of us found the way to live a better and more fulfilling life.

I'm glad if I can help you honey. All I can say is that it can work out better than you hoped. I started at 39 and am now 40. I looked like this:

It has been a very fulfilling (if at times painful) journey.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Knowing that you started at 39 and have gotten to where you are is a blessing to me.
You look great!
Well done, its posts and story's like yours that give those of us who are just starting hope
What a transformation.
I meant to say before, in one of your other display pictures especially, you remind me of Etta James! (In her glamourous looking days).
Jainie and Miya, it can happen and it can happen VERY quickly. From coming out to waking up from surgery for me will be 18 months. 14 months and 1 day from first dose of estrogen.
Make_it_good, wow! Ok, I'll take that. lol.
Her awesomeness is ever better in person, I assure you all!
Hopefully youll take that as a compliment, I meant it as one. :p
I'm SO happy for you
:)
Congratulations!
Absolutely stunning! Isn't it amazing how some of our dreams CAN come true?
Cindi
All I can say is wow, youve made amazing progress and look great for your age! You give us all hope. :D
You look good! Quite a difference!
Joelene
Wow, Well done, Melody! I'm comin' up right behind you, girl...
Wow, thanks everyone! You are all making me blush! Special thanks to Autumn for being so complimentary.
You are such an inspiration to me. Thanks for all the updates!!!
Kellie ;D
Dear god Melody, you are such an ambassador for this community. You have blown many an excuse away by your determination and foresight. The accolades that continue to mount here are a pure testament to your courage and resolve. You deserve everything you desire, in abundance.
You may have started at the tender age of 39, BUT, you don't look a day over 35. With your attitude and determination, I see a great and absolutely awesome life ahead of you. You
will reach heights you never thought imaginable.

That statement speaks for itself. Melody, your personality obviously radiates like a lighthouse on steroids.
I was tingling all over, today, just thinking -
ONE month - THREE weeks - THREE days until your ultimate desire is fulfilled. However, the woman who will emerge from that operation has been, more than evident, for a long time before this. If there was ever the story of the evolution of the butterfly from the chrysalis, you would have to be the physical manifestation of that wonderful moment in nature.
Live your destiny, girl. There are a lot of us here, who are following your beacon.
Be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs
Catherine
Wow Catherine, as always very flattering and probably undeserved. I am just me. Trying to do the best I can. Sometimes I fail, but sometimes I succeed and I try to learn from my own failures and the successes of others.
I've been thinking of that countdown quite a bit lately. So close. Just got back from seeing Dr. Bowers yesterday. She said I would do just fine. I was so afraid she would say "sorry, can't do it" for some bizarre reason. Just a few more hurdles to go over before the big day. It is really gonna happen soon and I can't believe it.
