Title: Hair transplants
Post by: lilacwoman on December 08, 2011, 04:23:39 PM
I have decided I'd like some more hair at the front.
I had some by the FUT strip method 4 years ago that have all stayed alive and well but as FUT takes cutting out a strip across the back of the head then the closing pulls the scalp back so lengthening the forehead which means there isn't all that much gain.

The FUE takes individual follicles but does need a biggish patch shaving off to harvest them but the patch regrows from dormant hairs so there is no forehead pullback as with FUT.  If need be I could cover the bald patch with the remaining hair but if not I can easily get a nice wig for about $75.

Cost of about 1500 grafts will be about $3000 all in including flight from England to Poland and night in 4 star hotel.
Cost in London is quoted at $13000 as we are ripped off with everything over here.

Had the hair transplants by Follice Extraction on 26 January and today 37 days later its obvious that the transplanted follicles are pushing out new hairs so going by speed the hair grows at and especially the speed that dyed hair quickly shows dark roots I should have enough to get a nice pixie cut by say beginning of June.

You get good and bad doctors everywhere. The price and the location doesn't guarantee successful surgery. You must do a very careful research about the doctor and the clinic where you are going to and how trans friendly they are.
