What are some boy things you won't get rid of?
I can't give up my male sex drive or interest in exclusively gay stuff.
My love of poker, baseball, football, and hockey. Not totally 'boy' things, but predominately.
My maturity and general good taste. Lots of girls, especially young one's, seem to go through a Hello Kitty/Lady GaGa infused second childhood, which I understand but don't plan to emulate. I'll still like good music, I might even still play drums, maybe start an all transgirl pop punk band.
Sigh, I dislike the boy thing/girl thing idea. But I understand the question, I'm keeping the guns and knives, I like hunting and fishing, and I do try to keep something quick in the driveway. Hugs, Tracey
I might start lifting weights again.
What else is there that counts as "boy things?" 20 years ago video games might have fit that, but it doesn't anymore. Nearly everything is either girl's only or neutral.
My green military style jacket I bought in London. Not feminine, but still incredibly good looking. Plus I'm really attached to it. Also, I love technical things, particularly engineering and physics stuff, but there are girls into that too. There are women at NASA of course.
i still watch football and baseball and play violent videogames and watch horror movies. it sucks cuz i kinda feel like my likes/dislikes would be different if i had been born female but i feel like ive been too polluted by being raised male. i have zero male pictures of me and urge anyone that has them burn them. i have a couple military jackets and my combat boots from when i was in the navy still around, but other than those i have no male clothes( which is hilarious for some reason ). :)
I will always love fast cars and big trucks. I would like to go fishing with my boyfriend when I get one. I have to keep my guns and would like to buy a few more at some point.
Huggs

I have some expensive jackets I am attached to and have not given away .... yet. Also, I have comics and video games from my "boyhood".
My love of REAL rock. The Americans invented rock. The British OWNED rock.
We could go 'round and 'round about which band was the greatest band, which singer, which guitarist, which drummer is the greatest. However, it comes down to personal preference anyway. Now, I'm not going to say these guys were the greatest band; however, I AM going to say they were in a class by themselves. This is the British band, The Who.
Many of you are too young to remember them. Please, watch this video. Remember, this is old, so the quality is nothing close to videos done today. However, THE PERFOMANCE blows away anything done in decades, IMHO. Now, THIS is rock, my friends ... THIS is rock!
Bassist, John Entwhistle ... actual founder of the band. Roger Daltrey ... lead singer extraordinaire. Pete Townsend ... the leader of the band and, IMHO, the angriest guitar in rock history. Keith Moon ... the rock drummers' drummer. He was not the best technical drummer. He was not a perfect timekeeper of a drummer. He WAS the ass-kickingest drummer of them all! Actually, he had a "spiritual ancestor" in The Big Band Era ... a guy named Gene Krupa (original Benny Goodman Orchestra). Honorable mention goes to drummer John Bonham of Led Zeppelin.
Watch this performance, young ones (anybody under age 45). Pay especial attention to the very end of the song ... hee hee hee! This song came out on the album WHO'S NEXT by The Who in 1971. This is a rock anthem extraordinaire. Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber? Good entertainers, and I like them! Compared to this? Well, YOU decide.
WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN - Special Edition Recut (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUbGLVvfB7Y&feature=related#)
Trivia:
In their time, The Who was rock's loudest band ... by far; however, Blue Cheer (little known outside Haight-Ashbury) was mighty loud too. Is anybody on here enough of a hippie freak to remember Blue Cheer besides me? Bet you a dollar to a doughnut that TEKLA knows about Blue Cheer!
Oh, yeah: ROCK ON !!!
Peace :D Lacey
I'm totally a baseball girl. I have quite a bit of memorabilia from various events I've been to. I wouldn't give that stuff up.
I never had many male typical interests.
But I do like black powder weapons, heavy metal music and I have been known to out right enjoy confrontation.
:)
Probably my addiction to porn.
Nerd games The need of care and make my gf feel protected and pride of me.
Sci fi and fantasy genre. Action movies.
Share time whit my male friends

I tend to think of maturity as a girl thing ;D Especially amongst young people... young boys tend to be sooo immature...
I never had any male interests. I never really into sports, I don't watch football, basketball, baseball or whatever ball lol
But I still have a bunch of colognes at home which I can't get rid of and a couple pairs of sunglasses. They are pretty expensive, I have a Christian Dior one which I paid like 400 something
Great idea Mahsa!
I already posted the boy stuff that i will not get rid in a thread over in the FtM section but here i go again!
- All of my band tee-shirts (even the tattered hole ridden ones).
- My Vans & Converse shoes.
- My leather aviator jacket which i shrunk on purpose and now looks great on me!
- My New York Yankees ball cap (i think girls can pull off the ball cap look just as good as guys)
- All of my boxers cause they're so comfy!
- My xbox
- My snowboard
And that's it...
Cars!!! I <3 cars. I'm working towards getting my MSA racing license. :)
Also, I love rugby... for watching that is. ;)

I also love these predominately "boy" thing
My woodworking tools, too much invested in good quality to let go. Lots of things I could call "boyish", but I have found a lot of Lesbians like them too, so they don't count.
My liking for watching Rugby Union, Rugby League and Ice Hockey (when I can find any NHL coverage here.) Quite happy to let the AFL go though.
As for loud bands Lacey Lynne, I would include local band "Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs." The concert they played in 1971 at the Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne could be heard throughout the southeastern suburbs. When they played at the Bondi Lifesaver in Sydney they killed all the fish in the aquarium upstairs! :o
The only thing I've kept from my past are my pom poms and my tight jazz pants I use to wear in my high school's dance team. I guess that's not really "boy things" though. And I was the the first and only "boy" in the team.

I might start lifting weights again.
I never stopped weight lifting... even now almost 2 years into HRT. :icon_mrhappy:
I doubt I'll ever give up my love of sports (football/baseball), guns, target shooting, fishing, metal music, and a bunch of "guy dominated" interests as well. There are a bunch of genetic cis-gendered girls that have similar interests, so I'm in good company.
:icon_yes:
A few charcoal Kammgarn, worsted silk&wool suits from Germany and one from Malaysia, plus some bespoke leather shoes some made of cordovan. They're 'trophies from my consulting days. Oh my!
My VERY selected woodworking tools (Lee Nielson, Stanley, Lee Valley/Veritas) worth many, many 10k US$ I gave away for a song. These were about 60 different hand planes, with cryogenically treated cutter, wet grinding tools, endless chisels, a whole Japanese set, in fact every hand tool you can imagine, plus top (Festo) electric tools, shop vacuum, bad saw, plunge circular saws, guide rails, the RANGE, plus a hand made dove-tailed cabinet makers tool box with each and every tool set in it's special place. Needed a fork lift to move when it was loaded. It is of olive ash, and a German style wood working bench with tail vice, bench dogs, and quick release bench vice (Record), all solid Beech went with it.
The guy that got it decided not wanting to see me for the rest of his life again - more recently - due to jealousy!
Now I feel I gave it to an idiot... such is life.

I don't really have any strictly male things apart from my male androgynous clothing, which I'm going to slowly stop wearing as I get more clothes. Though I don't really like throwing things out, it's like "But what if I need this thing that I haven't used in several years one day!"
I still like a lot of 'boy' things. I still love video games, love watching football and baseball (who dosen't like watching a buch of boys in tight pants sweat and run around in circles?) uhm. what else? Idk. I'm still a huge nerd, which is considered a boy thing usually. Other than that I'm not sure what else I would want to really keep.
I won't give up beating people at driving games. I used to wait for people to race at the arcades and invariably beat them since I was sad enough to know the dynamics of any racing game intimately (and still do!). So before I used to be the pipsqueak boy who beat the bigger guys at the games, and now I'm the girl who beats the guys at driving games! And since transitioning, they always seem more surprised and/or disappointed :D
I love cars and trucks still. I think if I won the lottery I would be driving a Peterbilt 37 long nose Optimus Prime replica like this [mainly because I know my son would get a kick out of riding in it](https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2F%5Burl%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.flickr.com%2Fphotos%2Fpopculturegeek%2F2633217506%2F%23%255DTransformers%2520movie%2520Optimus%2520Prime%2520Autobot%2520-%2520Peterbilt%2520truck%2520at%2520the%2520Arclight%2520theater%2520in%2520Hollywood%255B%2Furl%255D&hash=e7b149d627a761ba59073acb193627a6e744aa6f)
And what other child wouldnt get a kick out of seeing the Autobot commander driving around town? But I also love WRAC racing, which is about as much into sports as I get. As for stuff I wont get rid of, that would be my cowboy, or cowgirl, straw hat, my toy collection or my hunting compound bow. Which I have never used. I dont like killing an animal and the draw weight is too heavy for me anyway. It was a gift. umm.. I'm still a gamer, still into anime and manga... so not much will change for me ^_^
But I shall leave you with this video of the car I want :P
Top Gear USA - Mitsubishi Evo X (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xg1rxu)
For me, it's kind of hard to say. Video games and guitar playing maybe, but just for fun, and definitely changing what interests me.
I'm losing my interest in "real rock" music (largly British rock and metal from say 1969-1991) but still think I'd always keep my classic albums on my mp3 player. Before I prefered Roth era VH. Now it seems I like Haggar and the synths of the era a bit more. I guess I'm entering that dreaded Lady GaGa /girl music phase, gods help me ;) :P
The crazy thing is, as a fairly average masculine guy, I don't think I had any other "guy" hobbies that survived adulthood. Sports don't matter, save for one, and a car for me is just a means of transport, an expensive one at that.

I've never liked any boy things! I always hated Football, Soccer or any sports and never had any boy interests or persuits.
Probably the only "boy" thing that I'll never lose is my love for geeky stuff, like Minecraft and stuff, it's not specifically a boy thing, I know, but it's all I have >.<
I won't be getting rid of my brazilian sausage or is it persian?
Whatever. I like it.
I think my obsession with video games is dying off, so I'm not sure if there's anything boyish I'm holding onto. Perhaps my sense of being protective over my sister and friends? I can be kinda competitive too.
Shrug!
Geeky stuff (Skyrim FTW!) and Cool Water cologne. :D I looove Cool Water. I might never wear it at all, but heck I'll spray it on my sheets or in my car. It's amazing.
I love the Saints (but then again so do nuns around here) and buffalo wings will ALWAYS be a possibility for lunch or dinner!
None at the moment.

I'm not sure :eusa_think: Subjugating things to common gender stereotypes doesn't really make sense to me
My career, which is very male dominated.
my 2002 Yamaha R1
my hoodies cuz there comfy on a cold day
my snowboard, but i will probably get new female gear
my awesome nerd computer setup
my love of action movies, and industrial metal

I tend to agree.. We're only fuelling this kind of garbage.

Be a human being. Not a gender.
humm.. i think the most boyish thing i still do is playing video games? other than that i really don't know

neither will I girl.
I hope not anyway.
As hormones come closer and closer (I start jan. 13th.) i'm beginning to realize how much of a butch femme trans woman I want to be.
I'm really attracted to gay men, a part of me hopes that gay guys still find me appealing, it's something I wasn't suspecting.
I am definitely interested in maintaining ties to both sides due to my identity.

I've completely became disconnected from men who 3 yrs ago would be having sex with me. It is one thing I regret most of my transition, that I didn't make the most of my gay time. Just being seen as a girl by most of them is bittersweet... I go to gay bars and they ask me, "where's your ->-bleeped-<- at?"
I'd prefer a relationship with a gay men rather than having to basically make a straight guy gay. At least the family already knows... But then again, I live in the perfect heterosexual girl life and my Mom told me not to look a gift horse in the mouth.
