so recently while taking the bus and seeing people keeping their pass on their wallets got me thinking, what kind of wallet do non binary people generally like? my current wallet is a bit cumbersome so i dont like to use it and carry what i need in my pockets.
Money? What's that? Wife says I don't have/need no stinkin' money...
My ID, debit card, bus pass, etc is carried in a thin "ID case"-type wallet. Much smaller (in all dimensions) than a normal wallet, fits in any pocket (I use the front) without large BULGES.
In London, if you have no car, you need a small card wallet for your travel card, and I put my bankcard and the rest of that in there.
As for cash, it tends to go in the front right pocket, but girl jeans have very shallow pockets, so I am starting to use the inside pockets of my various coats.
Cash in front pocket, bank card in back pocket if I carry it which is seldom. I bought a purse years ago (peer pressure) and carried it out once, I learned a lot about myself, like what I'm not so stop pretending etc.
I have a simple black leather men's trifold wallet. It's enough to hold cash, receipts, and various cards (credit, gift, public transport, library, business) though it gets a little fat sometimes when I forget to empty it. It goes in my back pocket, or the front pocket inside my messenger bag.
I have a beige wallet with about 6 pockets...holds most of my cards, and then it has a thing in the back for cash. Coin holder sewn on the outside. I like it, but I have to monitor the coins and receipts inside or like Julian's it gets fat.

Me too! :) If I'm feeling masculine(esque) I will carry it in my cargo pocket or jacket pocket or something. (black tri fold wallet) if I'm feeling girly(ish) I'll put it in my special wallet pocket of my messenger bag. :)
I keep mine in the credit union. ;)
I have no need for cash.

I want a brown bifold. Seems classier for some reason.
The thrift shops I liked to browse in (where I lived previously) had a full bin of blacks and browns bi-fold wallets. Some were well worn but most were in excellent condition. Black out numbered browns 10/1 so I suspect all the browns were highly favoured.
I can't stand wallets, so I keep everything in my front pockets. Or if I have my satchel with me, I will put things in there.
Seems like most of us ether like male wallets or no wallets. I'm thinking that i want maybe a small wallet that i can keep in my bag, nothing like male folding wallets or like most womens wallets those seem too big and unnecessary.
I can't stand trifolds. I use a mens' bifold and keep all kinds of stuff in there, but I don't carry a lot of cash. I do have a lot of loyalty/discount cards in there that can probably be purged though.
I like having my wallet big enough to know it's there, but not too thick. I used to carry one that had a zippered change pouch but that just slowed down the process of paying for stuff.
bifolds rule
trifolds drool
>:-) >:-) ;D
In the freezer with my blood.
I would say wallet or front pockets. Occasionally I'll carry around a small messenger bag and stash the wallet in there.
I have a black bum bag inside that is a purple wallet and a coin purse sometimes I wear my bum bag like a shoulder bag, my clothes don't have pockets.
i use my cellphone pouch or pockets
I got a... thingy... in my Christmas stocking.

There's a pocket on the back for cash and a zip pocket for change.
It fits great in my bag, but as you can see it's way bigger than my wallet. It sticks out of girl-pant pockets; haven't tried it in men's.
I'm not sure whether I like it or not.
Not saying its not a nice gift but it is big-ish and your cards seem a little exposed ... I think thats definitely something you would have to carry in a bag. I'm not sure but that might be something used in addition to a wallet like the way some people keep a chain purse and a wallet in their purse. Thoughtful gift tho

That is pretty nice, though a lot bigger than what i need. I only have like 3 cards that ill ever need to use. But its perfect to just throw into a bag and forget about without it taking up a stupid amount of space or feeling like something that should be kept in a pocket. I've been looking online at wallets like that and from what I've seen their all large with colour or small and black only nothing in between :( .
It looks cool Julian, but I'd be worried about losing the cards. I'm sort of paranoid about things like that.
I want a bifold now. The trifold I have always annoyed me a little, what with having to open it twice, but now that I've been forced to pay attention I don't like it.
I have a fairly nice 'cowgirl's wallet' that someone gave me :) Is Elliott Lucca a good brand?
Oh, I usually keep my money in the front pocket of my jeans, but if I'm dressed up I have a couple of clutches to choose from :)
Money?
What is your boyfriend's credit card for?
Hah

The denim skirts which are my ordinary wear have the same set of pockets as jeans, so there's no problem. Change in one front pocket, keys in the other front pocket, a small wallet with cards and notes in a back pocket. That's a giveaway to pickpockets isnt it? But I'm sure there are none here!
My old car wallet has now given up, so inspired by the photo, I have bought myself a purple leather one...with white dots.
Purple with white dots. Very .. hmmm ... very PicaPica of you ;D
So would the bifold be the official androgyne preferred wallet
Mine will be bifold
Seems we do prefer bifold. It's quick and easy to open, is why I want one and don't like my trifold. Plus, I don't actually fill all the pockets on my trifold. I dont't carry a lot of cards - one debit card, one credit card, student ID, driver's license.
I do like bifolds.
I carry so many cards though; I had to pare it way down for the purple wallet. The black trifold had 2 or 3 cards in each slot. Just off the top of my head I have my driver's license, student IDs from two institutions, 2 different library cards, debit card, health insurance card, fare cards from two train systems, and a couple gift cards.
So much of which is unnecessary. ::)
I used to have a bulky tri-fold wallet, then I went down to a slim bi-fold, and currently my wallet consists of a rubber band holding my cards and cash together in my front pocket. Loose change goes in my back pocket (including those gold presidential dollar coins that I like so much).
Loose change in your back pocket? Brilliant ! Way better place then scattered like bird seed around my room.
I hate having change in my front pockets so this might actually work for me
Be careful, people like me have a tendency to pick up scattered change. ;) My brother used to do that, and he honestly lost it all the time so I'd pick 'er up and put it in my own piggy bank. But now he wants to save money and has taken to throwing it in a box, so I respect that it's his now. :|
I have a rather odd change system that I developed years ago as a kid :) Whenever I come back from a store etc. I take all my money out and count it and sort it... All dollars plus two dimes, a nickel and four penny are set on a table, the quarters are put in a small basket next to the dollars for laundry... The rest of the loose change is put in a jar across the room
I always have 29 cents on me when I go out 8)
Mine came, it sits flat in any pocket, is made of good quality soft leather - I'm pretty pleased with it.
I was at a website yesterday, C-RED I think it was called, that sells slim front-pokcet wallets. They were 50% off with a discount code, but sadly their registration thing didn't work on my netbook. I don't want to pay full price from them, but maybe somewhere else has them. Or I'll make or buy a duct tape wallet. :D
