Thats sort of how I've dealt with my IBS. I think i can control it through my eating habits but thats not a guarantee, so periodically I just eat whatever I want if the circumstances are in my favour.

I ran into several complications with getting GRS surgery scheduled today and hit a new low. Reading those prayers/advice reminded me to take a step back, look at what I've accomplished and what I can control in the situation (how I feel, shaping myself via exercise) and to accept the things I can't (insurance, medical bias, not having $10,000 in the bank).
