When Amos asked me to write a Top 10 post for 2011, I began dreaming up this magical piece that would wind through the experiences and lessons 2011 held for me. But, as has been the theme of this entire trip around the sun, my travel schedule got ahead of me and I am now hurrying to whip this out from a little cafe in Albuquerque, NM, where I am stuck due to a blizzard that has closed the highway. After 5 days of driving up and down the west coast and then east, headed to New York, the world has predictably thrown a wrench in my way-too-crazy plan, because I am nearly incapable of slowing down on my own accord.
