Title: Girly Figure Notwithstanding, There is NO Way I'll Pass, Presently
Post by: rhonda13000 on March 13, 2007, 06:51:42 PM
Absolutely not, tracheal shave and penectomy notwithstanding.

I look far from ugly, but my face just looks too conspicuously male.

Unquestionably, I need FFS and BA (less so, given the development).

I badly want the SRS, but the FFS now takes preeminence.

But really, no worries here.  :)

Well Rhonda, you'd be surprised to know what you can accomplish with two years of HRT.  Hopefully you will not need FFS, but if you decide to have it anyway, go ahead girl, you deserve it! :)

:embarrassed: Thanx, Tink.

You know girl, I am just SOOO tired of being addressed either by my present legal name or as "sir."

Good grief, it isn't depressing me but this is just getting SOOO old.

But it's tolerable and it's all good.  :)

I understand.  At first when they confuse the name and pronouns, it is cute and funny but after a while it gets trite and offensive.

It was funny how eventually, I grew to hate my own present legal name.

That was a surprise.

But I'll tell you what girl, I'm getting the name change, ASAP.

This appears to be yet another instance of ''suddenly and unexpectedly" reaching a point in transition where a random male feature or attribute, becomes intolerable to live with and must be changed, for the sake of sanity and relative peace of mind.

It's crazy the way that this has worked and not necessarily welcome.

Remember FFS is for yourself and passing, but SRS has LEGAL implications.  Basically you can change your sex/gender markers with government bodies along with name markers.   If somebody asked my opinion, SRS first and foremost for this reason alone.  This is speaking as an attorney.  Because if you get SRS out of the way, it can cause less harm if there are problems at work and you are looking for a job.

Also it would be a good idea if you do get SRS to seek the advice of an attorney that has experience in transsexual document changes.

Some say that passing is key.  But the truth is self acceptance and being legal is key.  There are alot of TS out there that cannot pass, but they are legally female and they get by fine.

FFS is extremely expensive, painful, has an even longer recovery time than SRS, and honestly the only benefit is passing.   I would say if you want it make it a priority after SRS if you think it is necessary to pass.  Remember SRS has other benefits that FFS can never offer, it is the ONLY thing that will make you legally female.

Great for you.  I've met many impassable transsexuals who all they do is cry and whine about their features, instead of doing something about them.
