I kind of like a pride of transgendered people, like lions. Ideas? Hugs, Devlyn
As an absurdist, I would say that a "gaggle" (as in geese) sounds right to me. I think geese are funny and cute and goofy, all things you could use to describe us. Or, since I find that transgendered people are actually really hard to stereotype, a "clowder" (group of cats) would work, since cats are independent and generally don't care what people think.
And if all that sounds very serious, I wrote all of that singing "soft kitty" from The Big Bang Theory, lol.
I love these.
Perhaps a joy of transgender.
Or a liberation of...
an expression of...
a courage of...

swarm seemed appropriate.
a revolution
awesome
Clowder and swarm are both sweet. Pride would be awesome except might be better generalized to all alphabet people.
Flock.
I reckon a "parliament" as we are the only ones who know what we need.
Like a parliament of owls, who are wise and hunt at night and those oh so big eyes.
Sorry, second thought, what about a train of transgendered people?
Nah I like my first one.
I like "throng", it has a nice sound to it, like a character out of a Discworld novel.
I'm quite fond of parliament myself, now that it's been mentioned.
What do I call a swarm of transgendered people?
1. Hell on Earth
2. An argument or fight about to be unleashed
3. A brood
4. A Pageant to see who is better good looking or a contest to see who is genuine vs who is "fake"
5. A cackle of finger pointers at each other.
I have more, but Ill stop there ;)
First, I thought a "taggle", then a "traggle", then "transgle"
It would be like having a crash of rhinos, but without the rhinos.
Since those terms are supposed to be somewhat descriptive I'd go with 'quarrel'. As in: There was a quarrel of TGs down at the clinic today.

The painful thing about cynicism is that it's so often accurate :-\
A deck? as in cards.
- 'cos it's always a gamble, you might have drawn a bad hand, there's always a few Queens and a couple of Jokers and a few will just throw in their hand.
Silly me  I usually just call them a group like any other group of people
Although there are those I get tempted to call a herd sometimes >:-)
When I see ftm's gather, the worst problems seem to be awkwardness, people being short-spoken/having little to say, and maybe a little bit of posturing.
So, a grunt of transpeople? A shuffle?
My initial task (Cindy put me up to it) was to find a word for a group of transgender people. She suggested "Mob" by the way. I have to admit, I like "Quarrel" quite a bit! Hugs, Devlyn
"Mob" is already used, I think by kangaroos.
And you can't go wrong with 'quarrel' because TGs are like Jews and stagehands - ask two of them a question, get a half dozen replies.

Mob is used by kangaroos, not that the kangaroos may know that :D
What about a flamboyance of transgendered people?
When I go out in public en femme i'm always checking my makeup to make sure my 5 oclock shadow is still hidden so I think a swarm of transwomen should be a "preen"
Oh, high marks for preen! Hugs, Devlyn
flamboyance - excellent, might be better for gay men, but works for a lot of the people I know.

An Italian Parliament (like Mussolini's)
. . . 'cause we will never agree on anything ?
Tekla, yours works great in sentences! "More join the quarrel every day." Hugs, Devlyn

That was my first thought, as well :D
I guess i would just them my friends and welcome each and everyone with opens arms
How about an Arrival of trans people? We're arriving individually, and arriving collectively too.
It's actually funny someone said "gaggle" because my friend I use the phrase "gaggle of ->-bleeped-<-s" when there's a group of them. It's just between us and not meant in a transphobic hateful way but we chuckle.
My mom and her friends would call themselves a gaggle of gals, it was a being part of the group kinda thing :) I say it as well, but I'm leaning towards saying a bevy as in a bevy of Swans 8)
Kia Ora Devlyn,
::) "What do you call a swarm of transgendered people?"
::) Depending on the situation, either 'dangerous' or 'pests' ;) ;D
Metta Zenda :)
Good one, Zenda! Hugs, Devlyn
