My Transsexual Summer is a four-part observational documentary, which aired in the UK over the last couple months. It featured myself and six others in the process of transitioning. Most of us were found from our YouTube Vlogs. Right from the first episode, in November 2011, the response from the public has been phenomenal and overwhelmingly positive. Of course there's always those few religious nuts who don't quite 'get it' and a simple google search shows there are pages and pages of views on us, ranging from general jealousy to rating us by how many beers you'd need to f--- us. It's amazing how by putting yourself in the public arena people feel they can ask you anything. I've had thousands of well wishers, and a few confessions of love & lust as well as some marriage requests.

After we finished filming, I encouraged Sarah (a trans woman in the earliest part of her transition) to move to my awesome city, Brighton. She currently enjoys a much better quality of life than her previous set-up in Jersey and Wales. I love having another person here who's been through the same camera-in-your-face experience and surreal media explosion.
