I don't have a lot planned, tomorrow I will go to my grandson's soccer game, then out for a late breakfast and over to the mall to find a new pair of shoes and a new bra.

I wouldn't mind shopping at all. :-)

I'm going up north to a friend who owns club Z(www.clubzbar.com) . It's always good times.

*dances* I'm excited.

Entering a semi-comatose state and emerging on Sunday evening just in time for bed. It's been a hell of a week.

If I do get energy, I'm going to look at flooring. I want to renovate, but don't want to take on too big a project.

Comitose can be good...if combined with a little karaoke.

Wouldn't your repertoire be somewhat limited if you were doing karaoke comatose? Like David Bowie's 80's music and Bob Dylan of any era.

Looking at flooring, looking at flooring, that's sounds about as much fun as watching paint dry,... no..., wait..., I just checked the web and it's official, Paint drying is deemed to be more fun to watch  ;D  poor Dennis  :)  I'm going to finish a cabinet for my shop, pick-up some wood to make my wife a cutting table.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd SHOP... yahoooooooooooooooo, shop till I drop, or until my wife drops me  ;D ;D ;D

Actually I start a weeks holidays today, so like you Dennis I'm going to get some much needed R & R.

I hope everyones week end is great.

Steph.

Grading lab reports and writing lesson plans.  Sing at church.  Start putting together my set for our youth group's coffee house.

(Our youth group is doing a coffee house / open mike late October to raise funds for hurricane relief.  As of right now, I have a 45 minute set!)

Spending a lot of time spoiling my granddaughter.  Since she lives with us, this is now a fulltime occupation!

I'm still waiting for Grandchildren Caylin,

I envy you having time with your granddaughter. Although tomorrow morning I get to take my 3 and 8 yearold out on our boat so I shouldn't complain.

Across the lake for breakfast  :)

My best friend drove up to spend Saturday with me, we did lunch in a pub on the sea front, chatted about life, the universe and everything, including 'me'.

Then spent the evening in the chat room.

Sunday will be a day at the pc... so see you in the chat room :p

Since you asked...

Besides a little shopping and some car repair, I went Full-Time last night  ;D

I'm a musician, and I had transitioned with all the bands I work with except one.  It's the one I work the with most and, consequently, make most of my money with.  They play wedding receptions in the NYC & New Jersey areas... about 80 jobs a year.

It was a pretty uneventful evening.  Except for one name slip-up and two pronoun slip-ups, "the new me" wasn't really remarked on that much.  That was mostly because we had a new female singer start last night, so everybody mostly talked about her & her performance.  And 7 of the 9 other members have known about my transition for a while, anyway.

All the guys in the band wear tuxedos, and the female singers wear black evening gowns.  Being the trumpet player, I took a middle ground of a women's black pant suit from Express, and a tailored white blouse with the collar laying flat on the outside of the jacket.

;D Amy ;D

Hey there Amy,

Congratulation, that's such good news.  You must feel great.  Being the non-event it seems to have been is a good sign that no one really minds about your transition.  Being full time is great, now you can rid yourself of the other life you had to hide behind, now you are really on the road to discovery.

Chat later,

Steph :)

Thanks, girls!

Yes, it does feel great.  The night after I saw that my bandleader was going to be cooperative and I would be going Full-Time, I layed awake in bed until 5:00AM, because the idea that virtually nobody else in this world would ever think of me as anything but Amy, a girl, was just such a wonderful thought.

You're right Stephanie, everyone is very accepting & supportive.  To this day I haven't found another transsexual who has been as lucky as I have, and I can't help but ask myself, "Why me?"  I haven't lost even one friend, family member, co-worker, job, etc.  Whatever higher power rules this universe, thank you.  My therapist is astounded.  When I tell her this latest revelation, she'll freak.  I gave her a bleak outlook on my boss, but he surprised us all  :)

Self-discovery?  Even with the little amount I work (2-3 nights a week, 4 hours a night), that little amount held me back so much.  I'm really looking forward to finally being able to settle into the new me, permanently.
