Title: Bad Skin >_<
Post by: Call me Jess on January 04, 2012, 10:14:10 PM
Hey, everybody.  I have an observation to share and an open ended question for ya'll.  For the 20 months that I was on Spiro, I had amazing skin and everybody felt compelled to comment on it, so I know it wasn't just my imagination.  I had an orchiectomy about a month ago and haven't taken any anti-androgens since.  Since then I've had a few pimples, my face looks shiny (greasy... ugh), and my pores are making themselves known.  This is bugging the hell out of me because I barely wear makeup at all and I'm not about to start.  Call me low maintenance.

So, has anybody else had this experience?  Maybe post-SRS?  I still have a whole lot of Spiro, but I hesitate to start taking it again just for my skin.  I was really glad to cut down on my meds.  Advice?

Thanks in advance.

Many take spiro to clear out their skin. If you have access to a doctor, I'd suggest going for a consultation. If not, and in the case of deciding to start taking it again, use a much smaller dose than you did before.
