Title: How the heck do these men in drag put many full blown transwomen to shame?
Post by: Ultimus on January 06, 2012, 09:55:31 PM
I mean check out these results from JUST makeup: no hormones, no FFS, nothing. These are testosterone filled MEN, not transgendered individuals.

Full Boy to Girl MAC Transformation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YPg_wb53Ks&#)

spring makeup transformation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFbHNRmuCp8&#)

How do they do it???

Do you have to be a former effeminate gay guy to get results like this?

The second one is a ts if i remember correctly...

I wouldnt say the first link puts any ts to shame... Makeup is an art, it can be learned. Its all about contouring and highlighting.

Give them another 4-5 years of T poisoning and see how they fare; they're still pretty young.

Yeah you do. Makeup is friggin magic. That is me speaking from EXPERIENCE.

But you know what...I get my views on it constantly shot down here because we're more concerned about "feelings" not realizing we're all essentially drag queens.

Most transwomen lack knowledge on makeup, fashion, or anything else. Simply putting on clothes and taking hormones won't give you anything.

I am good at makeup because i am an artist.

Not all gay guys know how to use makeup... i know quite a few who dont.

I have to disagree with your last statement there. I still wear simple, casual, outfits and rarely ever use makeup, and everyone that talks to me in public calls me miss.

LMAO... I live outside SF in basically the jersey of the bay. I also worked in a fairly masculine occupation prior to makeup.

So in other words...do people call me sir? NEVER. Yeah, never. Of course, I act like a girl...talk like a girl...behave like a girl.

And when I do come out to people(it's rare)...they tell me how amazing I look and how they think I am naturally feminine and don't think I'm trans. This includes several gay men.

So were you attempting to say that makeup doesn't make people look feminine?

My step sister is hispanic. black hair well she dyes it black and dark makeup. We were never close. But we are trying now...

My mom hates blue eyeshadow, i tend to love it. If you do it right it wont look bad. She says it looks cheap.

I didn't say that makeup doesn't make people look more feminine, I was just saying wearing makeup is not some essential part of being trans.

How does someone make such a rude and assumptive comment and call it a thread?

My nose is contoured, as are my cheeks, my eyes are emphasized, and my jaw is contoured. This is more or less my everyday look with variations done on the eyes.

Blue eyeshadow is generic around here.. everybody wears it. Yes it looks right, but using colors against your eyes make everything pop better! Blue vs black is a bad choice unless you hint the blue and mix it with white and say.. a touch of yellow maybe if you're aiming for a 3 color tone.

Um I'm getting OT :(

One for lid, another for crease, and highlight.

I am doing more "cat eye" and minimal look now since a member here said I looked like a "drag queen"... LOL

Ya, no worries - I agree with you.  I'm just hoping the age old debate of whether make-up is needed or not doesn't spark back up yet again.  I mean, my views on make-up have made a complete 180, and I guess I'm now viewing what I feel may be a repeat of my naive attitude months ago.  Anyway, I'll just leave it at that.  To each their own.

I don't care either way. I mean look at the other thread.... I don't wear a whole thing of makeup slathered on my face daily or anything.

I just feel that there's a lot of GREEN on this board.

Anyways, this is my makeup for 2012...decided to go with a cleaner look.

It's been so long since I've worn makeup, I'd have to take lessons. I only color my white eyebrows to complement my auburn hair.

You just don't see makeup on Maui among those who live an active life. None of us older women has the time to put on makeup when we can be giving lectures, teaching tourists about whales, doing school outreach, snorkeling, hiking, and what not and are dressed in shorts and a Teeshirt 95% of the time.

Once in a great while, there may be a wear a dress and lipstick-worthy event. But we hardly recognize each other then.
