cisgender transphobic brat is asking people to boyscott girl scout cookies to disallow trans girls to be apart of girl scouts.
THIS IS WHY WE SHOULD BUY GIRL SCOUT COOKIES NAOOOoo.
I currently work for the Girl Scouts and know we have several transgender girls in troops in our area. I have had nothing but support from the staff with my transition as well.

That's awesome.
Are you at the troop going to discuss this boycott?
I think we need to make sure it is not effective.
I work for them ... so I don't have a troop. All the troops are run by volunteers. I work in the office and help them with issues/problems that arise

That's great.
I just saw this today because I friend shared the link on Facebook (she plans on buying tons more cookies). I was a bit ticked with it. I do plan on buying cookies, partially because of this and partially because the cookies are so good (especially Thin Mints).
I was also irritated because the girl's protest was definitely written out and that didn't strike me as a very well done protest...plus it's silly what she's protesting over. At least her troop didn't go and disband because of this (like 3 other troops).
I'm a bit proud of having been a member of the Girl Scouts now. I'm glad they let the trans-girl in along with other trans-girls.
Young miss Taylor's vid. has inspired me :) To buy as many Girl scout cookies as I possibly can ;D
Too many threads on this subject! I'll take some Thin Mints and some Samoans.

Yeah, it's time for me to do my impression of Ms. Pac-man...
I've never bought girlscout cookies before. I plan on buying enough to make me obese as soon as the opportunity comes up. I never even see girlscouts selling cookies. They used to come to the door, but in the past 10 years I've only seen their parents selling them at work.
I'll also try Thank You Berry Much and the new Savanna Smiles (lemony) to add to my list above.

Thanks for the link Joelene :)
I've contacted the mother of a local Girlscout who was taking pre-orders in my area but she's never gotten back to me on it :-\ But by using the link I found out when they'll be on sale at my local supermarket :)
Six boxes of cookies bought, about $20.00 worth. I may send a donation later.
