Title: In your dreams ...
Post by: insideontheoutside on January 12, 2012, 12:26:31 AM
So who here has "the perfect body" in dreams?

It's odd because it varies in my dreams. So I was just curious how it is for others.

I wish I did but I'm usually in my same body when I am dreaming but for some reason I feel lighter.

I'm the same build but with male features. I am happy with that tho.

I do, occasionally. The ones where I've got the correct equipment and am about 500 lbs lighter.
I hate those dreams, tbh. Its such a kick in the chest to wake up from them.

The details change, but yeah, I'm always a good looking person with a great body.
(This is probably the only situation where I can say that sentence and not come off as a narcissistic ass. :P)

I wouldn't say I have the perfect body, but I am generally happy with it in my dreams. I am usually pretty comfortable with my body (aside from my chest/lack of facial hair) but in my dreams I have an awesome 5 o'clock shadow. Other than that, I look pretty much the same. I also rock a pin stripe suit in my dreams.

In some of my dreams I'm still FtM and pre-hormones. I have a binder though, which makes it different from real life, and everyone sees me as a boy.

In other dreams I'm cisgendered, and in some dreams I'm not even me - I'm some random female character.

Usually I am non-gendered, like its not to tell whatever im a boy or a girl im not even always me".

theres times where I dream im trans, ex when people bullie me or call me by my old names.
theres also times where I got a male body like anyone otther.

I'm never aware of the features of my body in dreams, beyond basic things like having limbs. The only times I notice what I look like is when I'm someone else.

It varies for me.
Sometimes, I'm the same as I am now, but I 'pass' 100% of the time. (Something I wish happened IRL.)
Sometimes, I'm have what I consider "the perfect body", which is what I wish I was, but never will be.
I'll have some dreams where I have a better body than the one I have now, but the same equipment as real life.
And I'll have some where I have the same body, but different equipment.
It usually depends on the type of dream, who's in it, and what throughout the day influenced what I would dream about.

It depends. I have dreams that are incredibly detailed, and in those ones I'm hyper aware of having the kind of male anatomy I would prefer. Those are usually sex dreams and everything is really clear. Other dreams are really vague and I don't have any sense of myself as sexed. It's not that I actively perceive myself without a sex, it's just that my sex doesn't really play into it. Even when those ones are sex dreams, they're a lot vaguer/blurry than the first kind I mentioned.

Usually I have my same body, minus boobs and with facial hair.
Sometimes in dreams I have a perfect body and my voice sounds more normal, but (luckily, I think) those are rare because they're the worst/best.

Before starting T I used to have nightmares where all the clothes I owned were booty shorts and belly shirts, my boobs would grow to be quadruple Ds and I'd have hair down to my ass that was impossible to cut.

I've had dreams where I have a full on female body. Those are often disturbing because a lot of times someone's always trying to have sex with me and yeah, do not want.

I had a dream last week where my dick fell off. I figured I'd lump that into the category of "stress dreams" like the ones where all my teeth fall out.

I wish I had more nice sex dreams. Often I do have a perfect body in those but they're so few and far between. It's a bummer!

I figure, dreams may not be "real" in the physical sense, but if you think about it, a lot of our lives are spent dreaming. So it's part of life just like anything else.

I dunno, it never feels different, so I guess I have my normal body.  Oh well. I don't think I'd enjoy waking up after a sexy body dream anyway.

I've never really seen a "detailed" me in my dreams. Except for that one dream where I was female, then transformed.  When I do dream now with myself in it, I am "with" certain people,  male the whole time and I feel at peace. Then unfortunately, I wake up.

I'm generally not gendered in my dreams.  Sometimes I'm distinctly aware of being male and other times I'll be in a female body with someone touching it inappropriately which leaves me waking up feeling violated and nauseous.

I love dream threads.

My form in my dreams varies, but it's usually similar to however I'm presenting in waking life.

The last dream I can remember was fantastic. It was one of those postapocalyptic dystopia dreams (most of mine have that backdrop, for whatever reason), but civilization wasn't all gone or only mostly gone. We were rebuilding. We mostly lived underground, and we explored and expanded the existing sewer systems.

I got hired as a field biologist (another recurring theme for me) to go check out a new cephalopod variant that was living in a largely-unmapped area. I was really proud. They hired me because I was the only one willing to do it. I was treated as male, but I was small-bodied, and dwarfed by the big burly dude who led me to the site. They gave me metal armguards so I could hook onto and get leverage from the notches and metal outcroppings in the tunnels.

I felt so badass, but when we got to the place I was a little scared. These things had no eyes, and their skin was very pale, and they swam like little aliens or something.

I'll skip that part because it's not gender stuff. When I got back to the base I was told that because of some lab results I had to have emergency surgery to get some of my innards taken out. There was no pain, but I was bleeding and bleeding, worse than any period, and it became clear to everybody that I wasn't normal. We didn't have regular bathrooms or medical facilities.

Well, that dream started fantastic and stayed fun most of the way through. The last bit sucked.

certainly not me.

My dreams about my body are focussed on my past surgery (not transition related).

In dreams the surgery was botched and my surgeon finds me and insists he fix it.  :'(
Talk about unnerving...

I have bad dreams about a not transition-related surgery too. :-\

Big Macintosh @_@! No seriously :'P. Usually though, I look how I look now, but I can walk normally again. I want that so much more than any stage of transition. I'll gladly postpone my transition if I could just be able bodied again. Thankfully, I know that's a possibility :'D.

I usually look completely different in dreams. Sometimes more male, other times I'm turning into my old self.

I have reoccurring dreams that I am going bald, and yeah similar to the teeth falling out thing but normally my teeth shift and move really badly instead.

Though last night actually, I had a dream that I was wearing a hard packer for some reason, well pretty sure it was a dildo because it was purple? And it kept almost falling out of my shorts. Weird because I never wear packers at all.

My dreams never really focus on gender... So I don't really notice whether or not I'm male or female save for that odd one here or there. I think I've only had two memorable dreams that revolved around gender, actually:

The first dream took place when I was young - around ten or eleven years old. In this dream, I had somehow ended up pregnant. I was absolutely horrified and confused at the idea, so the next morning I made a promise to myself that I'd never get pregnant. So far so good, especially considering the fact that I'm hetero.  :P

The second dream occured shortly after I realized I was trans. In the dream, I was back in middle school, hanging out by the pool with a ton of other guys. Every single one of us was only wearing swim trunks, which was fine with me, but for some reason, I still had breasts. At first, I was embarressed at the idea of walking around without a top on now that I noticed what exactly was underneath, but no one seemed to notice but me, so I eventually got over it. It was nice to be recognized as a guy, despite having been born with the wrong parts.  :)

Oddly enough, when I was a kid (before I came out/"realised" I was trans/whatever) I never saw myself clearly in dreams. I never had a face or distinguishing characteristics or even a body of any description. I was just a nondescript entity that, presumably, was human. It's a bit hard to explain. But since coming to terms with myself (for want of a better term) I see myself in dreams. It's very peculiar... but quite nice as well :]

I have post apocolyptic dreams too - they're usually pretty amazing.
