8 hours is a long time to be under the knife.

8 hours is a long time to be under the knife.
It is a long time, yet my SRS first op took also about 7.5 hours, 9 hours was so far the longest for 1st op.
Asking Dr. Sanguan to add BA (I had no idea of length of SRS) he declined saying it would add another 2 hours to total op time.
It was a good decision... declining BA.

But you had your SRS in a hospital with Dr Sanguan with full ICU available not a Clinic

Been there and done it my dear ;) so I know how good and safe it is
This case however is shocking :'(
Julie just told me about this. This is very sad indeed but I'm really not shocked.
I don't know how many surgeons who work out of their office have the necessary equipment and personnel but I can imagine how many will after this news gets around.
