I asked in a post earlier this week if the word "transgender" was necessary in the reports about David O. Russell groping the breasts of his 19-year-old niece, who just happens to be a trans person. Most of the media reports I saw identified the niece as a "Transgender" person in their headlines, as well as in the text of their articles. We received two reader comments on that post so far, and they are good ones. So go back and have a look at them.
