Title: Allergic?
Post by: Hayzer12 on January 16, 2012, 10:15:29 PM
Hey guys..

I have been on T for 3 months now, and I'm just now(the last couple weeks) starting to notice red dots all over my body. They don't itch, they're just weird looking and have dry skin on top of them. They range in size from pen dot sizes to like dime sizes. I'm not really sure if it's a cottonseed oil allergic reaction or what, but I'm going to my doctor tomorrow for routine blood work and everything. Should I mention this to him? I just don't want him taking me off of that particular T, since i just got a new vial(spent 85 bucks on it) and I hate to just have to throw it out.

Have any of you experienced this? Could it be something else? I haven't changed my diet drastically, and have been using the same products... I can't think of anything else it would be. It's all over my thighs, stomach, chest, forearms and biceps, and a couple on top of my hands.

definitely show a doctor. It could be a million things. I heard there is a bed bug outbreak happening.
I would sell the T to another FTM or a body builder.

Definately mention it. If it is an allergy, it can end up taking just one more tiny little exposure to give you a full blown reaction.

I would cry O_O

It's just red patches with dry skin over it, so I really don't think they're bites.. Let's hope not. I'd rather be allergic to my body wash than anything. O_O
And yeah I figured I would, I'm just worried. He's already taken me off of every week and put me on every other week; so that could be it too I suppose. The change in levels may be jacking me up.

I've heard of guys developing a rash, but it usually goes away.  It could be your skin adapting to the changes in oil production or hair follicles preparing to erupt.  Mention it to rule out anything sinister.

Have you tried popping one to see what comes out?

Trust me, if it were an allergy it would itch like a bitch. Sounds more like a petechia rash. That's basically a bursting of the blood vessels under the skin. It's always important to tell a doctor about those because they could be a sign of a bleeding disorder.

There's nothing to pop. They're just raised with dry skin on top of them and they're red. They're all over my body; torso, legs, arms, hands..etc

Definitely mention it. If it is an allergy, it'll only get worse over time, not better.

Unlikely to be an allergic response. Could well be one of several infections. I had one similar a few years back and my Doc told me to take a week sick leave so I didn't infect others, and to rub on Cortisol cream if it became itchy, it never did. It just disappeared after a few days.

As long as your ONLY symptoms are the rash, just tell the Doc, if you have a headache, running a temperature or feeling generally unwell get urgent help, call an ambulance. There are a few very nasty encephalitis bugs that can present in a similar way, but they progress quite quickly as in hours.

If there are no other symptoms see your Dr tomorrow. I can think of no reason why you should come off T.

when I started T I experienced something who sound kinda simular. My skin where kinda dry, and oile like and very sensetive. it started to itch when I where in the shower and so on and I had small dots on my arms who looked like goose bumps.

now after a time it went away, I still got the more dry skin but its not like I notice anymore, but for that moment it where very annoying.

I would try sesame oil as a suspension.
I'm thinking about switching over soon, because I get a bump occasionally after an injection. The reaction isn't usually so extreme, but my skin has been bad recently and I read something that said this could be a contributing factor even though it may not seem like it. I know for sure that I'm not even mildly allergic to sesame oil so it seems like a safer bet.

Where do you inject? Sometimes injecting in the thigh or arm can cause bumps. My doctors don't want me to inject anywhere but the ass.
