Title: Who of you are Trans Lesbians?
Post by: Katelyn on January 17, 2012, 03:16:01 AM
I'm requesting this because being around many transgender people in L.A. and some in Tucson, I got the impression that especially the GGish / very passable MTF TS's are all heterosexual.  I only knew a few that were lesbian.

I'd like a display of who here's a trans-lesbian, just maybe hopefully to dispel the notion in my mind that most trans-women are heterosexual.

I thought I was a hetero girl, but my girlfriend says that's a load of crap.. She says I'm not really any different to any other woman she's ever dated.. So I guess I am a lesbian..

Pretty much a lesbian with occasional interest in men (if they smell right).

I've always been attracted to womanfolk.

I *kinda* identify as pansexual though because if I met a truly wonderful man I would not let his gender stop me. But the attraction is just ..different. I never had any interest in boys at all growing up. This is a rather recent development probably because of my feeling better and at home in my gender since HRT and full-timeness. I'm still not sure if this like genuine attraction or just me being really open to whatever. =P

I guess I'm bi, but I could immediately jump into bed with a girl, whereas a guy would take much longer to win me over. So for the most part I'd be lesbian.

Lesbian,

there just is a much more powerful attraction to females, femme-females, but not gas-heads.
With men it is a VERY, VERY much different thing. If they show interest in me I do melt, given they reasonably attractive still at there age.

Does that make me BI? Well, it doesn't quite feel like it... as I by far prefer "high femme" lesbians, by far! :-)

Would like to pop in and add another to the transbian population. Although, I suppose I could theoretically date anyone as long as it would stay outside the bedroom with a male

I'm a dyke, 27, full time, passable, SRS in a month, blah blah. Yes, we exist.

I'm very passable, when I'm not disclosure nobody will guess my past and I had and will have sexual relationships with women.
I like the woman body, the soft skin, the curves, the elegant moves and the looks.
I also think they smell better than men ( nevertheless i like men too, but primairy I like women more)
There are also passable T ladies who are not really attracted to men but having a man makes you more womanly or something.
So, the man is used as an alibi to show how womanly one is.
Lezzies don't need that, they know they are women who are wanted by other women.
How womanly can one be than, if you're desired by other women?
I think a hell  of a woman

Many of us don't claim our lesbian status simply because in the old days it meant you were not a transsexual.  Even this week and multiple times this month we've had the ugly specter of ->-bleeped-<- tossed about and that we aren't TRUE transsexuals.  The part I don't understand is that it is always the one playing the TRUE transsexual card that says we are being ->-bleeped-<-r than thou.  That is the highest trump there is nothing we can say that is ->-bleeped-<-r than thou than we are a TRUE transsexual.

Our gender is what our gender is.

We are attracted to what we are attracted to.

Those aren't related and it hurts when our own community can't keep them separate.

I am a trans lesbian.  As a matter of fact since my wife joined I have even changed my profile quotes to show my connection to her.

I'm bisexual. My girlfriend and I (LYRADASH :D )) are both mtf and pre-HRT, so our relationship is oddly both lesbian and gay, (AND straight at the same time if you think about it), depending on perspective. How maddeningly confusing. :P

Most of the time I'm sure to be lipstick-lesbian.... but then, once in a while I do feel VERY much different - depends on the guy, big time.

Does that make me BI? Not so sure as the 'hit rate' is about 9/1 in favour for 'high femme' females :-)

I think bisexual fits you if you feel that it does. I'm inclined to call myself a dyke at the moment because I'm mostly into women - but strictly speaking I'm bisexual. Bisexual is a funny label though, isn't it - I mean, it's so broad it's almost pointless, because it means "everyone in the world who isn't completely het or gay" and that's a huge range of different experience to fit under one umbrella.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks about that. xD
I just call us gay. Lesbian is really redundant when you think about it, since gay covers both genders. :P

I've recently learned to stay away from using the word gay or homosexual to describe myself, since with a lot of people they refer solely to gay men. Recently used it when coming out to someone and she is convinced that it means that I am only interested in men. Which... ew. Being a part of the "alternative" community in whatever way, we have a much deeper understanding of things like the separation between gender, sex and sexuality and also the confusing terms and situations we come across. At the beginning, even I had trouble with the thread that was talking about living a "gay" lifestyle pre-transition (meaning a heterosexual lifestyle to everyone around you but yourself, which describes me perfectly).

I'm very early on my 'trip' into this, but I've always been attracted to women. I've never had any successful romantic relationship with any of them, but they are what tickles that particular urge. That having been said, I'm 6 months into this HRT thing, and, I find myself paying much more attention to men than I ever have before... Too early to say really.

I'm lesbian too! But I am curious ;)

I do agree Dear,
so "lipstick-dyke" it be then. Dyke for being still good with some non-girly stuff using tools other the pots and pans, - and vibrators... (I know how to change batteries too, oh YES! :-)

Some lesbians are just a bit guy curious at times also, - and so am I. :-)

PS: the very first road block with guys is - they mostly just so booooring! At least for me.
PPS: Gay males ARE the exception but hey, they just for friends now, aren't they?
PPPS: The more I look at my new avatar the more that looks like a lipstick-dyke, now doesn't it? :-)

Me too! Started M2F transitioning several years ago, dropped fifty pounds, was and still am on HRT after ten years, had orchiectomy, FFS, electrolysis, sport boobs but quit and now post in Androgyne as a more natural place for me, I'm happy with it! Meanwhile, been talking about getting rid of the titties, but suddenly the little woman who was so opposed to the whole thing in the first place decided that I shouldn't, she says she likes them now as well as the clean underarms and hairless body. She likes to squish our chests together during intimacy. I think she's into a little lesbian kink!

I definitely agree with many of the response posted and the reasonings they gave. I would say I am trans-lesbian for sure, but I do have some curosity all-be-it very minimal. I think it would have to a perfect situation and perfect male person for me to go down the road of being bi or even strictly hetero ... I just find some many more things to like about women .... ohh where to start .... that men just don't possess.

I'm a lesbian and have a great girlfriend.  My only issue is that I'm pretty uninterested in sex for the most part.  This is in stark contrast to before transition and an orchi.

I'm with you, having spent more than a few years following orchiectomy as an A-sexual being with zero libido. It doesn't have to be that way though. I talked with a very smart female naturopathic doctor who specializes in hormone replacement. She convinced me that even genetic females require a little testosterone in their system to have normal libido. She stuck several bio-identical testosterone pellets in one side of my butt and my libido came back. Much to my S.O.'s delight we are able to enjoy intimacy once again. Some here will no doubt say Ewwwww, but that's going to have to be their stuff and they can deal with it. As for me and my sweetie, we want a life!

I guess the rainbow tattoo I just had done across my right ring finger is a bit of a give-away!  Hopefully that will put an end to the "femme invisibility".  Definitely a lipstick lesbian,  but  Iam starting to  find some butches attractive too, as well as other femmes.

I made a poll about this quite a while ago.

How do you identity sexually, gay or straight? Gay is being attracted to the same sex as you, straight the opposite...

I only gave options for straight, gay, bi, asexual. I know, I know, don't crucify me for leaving out pansexual and all the other sexuals out there! I'm sorry! I was young and naive!

Not really surprised actually...

sometimes I think I'm gay (lesbian) then I meet a really nice male person and so could imagine to be BI also. Getting all girlie then... tip toe through the tulips...

Oh, I'm such a girl... just a bit fluff-headed about it all really :-)

Like, comes first - served first, he he.
