This is from a transgender woman. I never get to flirt with any hot guys... So hi ;)
anyone besides me read the title and say "yes i am" to themselves?
I can see this thread going several ways and all are hilarious.
Watchin'.
You can say that again... ;)
Damn these Aussie summers!!! Sweating like crazy in here with the aircon turned right up...
I wish I was hot LOL.
It's. 30°F...I'm not hot.
Am I the only one that finds topics like this weird?
Hmm. Right now I'm not so hot, in the future I will be.
In terms of weather, no we're freezing our butts off where I am. ::)

I assume your 31 is in celsius? I think it was about the same here in Vermont but in Fahrenheit so like your zero? (Ish??) Much better than the -3 f like we had on Sunday, at 8 am when I was begging my car to start to go to work.
I miss my shorts and t shirts.
It's -40 here in Winnipeg, Canada. Yes, that's a minus sign. And that's still -40 in american. I don't even remember what hot feels like.
When I walk in the spot, this is what I see
Everybody stops and they staring at me
I got passion in my pants and I ain't afraid to show it, show it, show it, show it
I'm sexy and I know it

Yes, sorry - 31 Celsius! I don't envy you guys who are having winter right now. All I can think about is the beach!
Yeah here in the BC Omineca region it is -31, and goes down to -37 when wind is around, and sometimes below.
But anyways, a lot of FtM are really good looking. Just sayin'.

No, I feel icky when people say "FTMs are hot."

Hahah wow. I am just a province next to you and it's been like, uh +4 and +11 .... maybe like -10 on a bad day. Usually it's freezing as ->-bleeped-<- here but not this winter for some reason. There's barely been any snow.

Problem is that me, and I know that at least a couple of other guys here, only feel we are FTM because we have to be...meaning we don't really identify as such. I identify as male. I'm a man. I just have a body that constantly works against me so I go to all means to correct it.

Okay I understand that. It makes us all the same and we certainly are not.
Of course I do say 'women are hot' from time to time. I really don't see women being offended by that to often.
I know.

Oy. It's the generalizations that come with it. It's usually a person with a certain image of what a trans man is. Plus, I tend to not fit that generalization.
To be fair though, she did just say that she never gets to flirt with hot guys...she didn't say anything about finding FTMs hot in particular. I took it as just a friendly gesture, and maybe an expression of something she doesn't get to do with any guys, trans or cis, IRL.

As for all trans guys being hot, of course this is a generalization, but I think it's rather true in many cases. Most trans guys have a perfect combination of looking like a dude, but with a few residual feminine traits. We age well too. I'm 31 and apparently I look 5-10 years younger.
On that note, our personalities are rather great too. Masculine qualities and inclinations with better understanding of women, more sensitivity and more open mindedness than the average straight bio male. We are the best of all worlds.
Of course there are a lot of ugly ->-bleeped-<- trans guys too, but in general, we're pretty much awesome... if a bit on the short side.

But those are also generalizations. I don't think I have a better understanding of women. I'm sensitive about how people treat me (while being very upfront on how I feel and thus "not being sensitive" to others). I'm pretty darn closed minded, just in a different way than an average straight cis male, and I hate the othering of being considered "the best of both worlds."
Also, BRB...going to walk around in a skirt cause I'm so masculine.
There is a CURE for all things

Most was mentioned in the first part.
IMO most trans guys aren't like that. Most are misogynistic. Most are pretty darn close minded...and most if not all are not martian/human hybrids.

Give him a break. I'm sure he wasn't trying to personally offend you by anything he said nor was he intending to imply that transguys were some other worldly form of transmogrification
(no pun intended >_<). Personally, I don't even like identifying as trans, but some guys do. Like everyone, we have differences, but there are a lot of similarities in transitioning. As far as guys going around wearing skirts, I'd have to say that you are an exception, but certainly not a bad one at that. :] This is more of what I meant.

The thing is, I've been told over and over this generalization of trans men being some sort of "greater man" and it just plain isn't true and makes me very uncomfortable. I know people don't aim it as an attack to me, but it always makes me feel icky, and as if people are saying I'm not as much of a man as a cis man.
I know quite a few trans guys that enjoy their skirts and make up. I know I'll be more comfortable with that when I'm in a better place (Socially with my transition).
I just don't like the generalizations of trans men are the best of both worlds, brave for just existing, etc.
Actually...I'm making a new thread. *wanders off*

I think you just may be right. Dang, I knew there was a reason the window was fogging up so much! 8)
Nygeel, I clearly stated that I was generalizing. I don't think I needed to state it in every sentence. I clearly stated that some trans guys are ugly, and ->-bleeped-<-s too, in order to show that I know there are people who don't have the traits I had listed prior. I didn't say you have to have these traits, nor that everyone does. And I don't feel I need to state that these are my opinions based on my own experiences, because that should be apparent in that I'm the one stating them.
No one is talking about martian/human hybrids here. Most of the trans guys I've met are more understanding of women, because they usually used to identify as one, and therefore often grew up closer to girls, and generally have had more female friends. Most trans guys I know are open minded because they live their lives as something out of the norm, and are therefore generally more mindful with dealing with other minorities. And when I say that they are often more sensitive, I mean sensitive to others and in touch with their feelings (boys are generally not socialized to be sensitive or in touch with feelings, which girl often are).
Bottom line is that I'm just trying to have a little trans pride. Since much of the world look down on those of us who they think are different or less than, I should think that a in a trans forum such pride would be met with a bit more positivity. I'm sorry you've had such poor interactions with other trans guys. They have obviously been much different than mine. Try to be a little less angry with the people who are proud of who they are.

Seriously though, I read the title and I thought "Aw. Thanks! I think I look nice today too!"
Since I've been mtftm and possibly back to f, I kind of consider myself a transgirl and a transguy at the same time. I noticed that my perspectives on Life changed as either gender. Everything was more peaceful and I was in pure peace and joy as a female.
Crashdown has said that some trans guys are jerks and I'm like well some cis guys are jerks too so why even differentiate?
