A PAIR of transsexual lesbians spoke of their joy at becoming "man and wife" AND "wife and wife" on day-time telly.
Jenny-Anne Bishop, 65 — formerly known as Paul — and Elen Heart, 68, previously called Alan, have put their lives as men behind them.
Initally they got together as a male gay couple in 2004. Today the pair revealed how they were born in the wrong bodies and their journey to become "wife and wife".
God, our world gets smaller and smaller.
That's a good thing. The smaller it gets the more we learn about each other.
The more we learn about each other the less fear there will be.
Less fear equals less hate. That's a very good thing.

I know them both - we have had dinner several times and I am actually seeing both of them tomorrow. They are both great fun and do a lot for trans people in NW England / N Wales.
What I find interesting is the comments under the article - basically "good for them and as long as they are happy...". A few months ago their story appeared in another paper and the vast majority of the online comments were that no one really minded as long as they were happy togther. Personally, I find that heartening.

I think things in the uK are changing rapidly. People have bigger worrie than caring that there is a transexual in the street. 10 years ago most of the comments would have been hostile, not now.
