My cat passed today, I walked out and found her in a pool of blood. I took her to the vet apparently she has had a tumor for some time and it exploded in her nasal cavity. I had to put her down and now I feel so ->-bleeped-<-ing guilty, why didn't I see this if it was there for so long? Why couldn't I do chemo just because she was 18? I can't even cry yet I feel so horrible. I came here because I feel so comfortable here. I m sorry I know that you all have bigger problems than this but I am so sad at the moment and I really need some help.
Why wouldn't they let me do chemo? I wish I could cry. I m sorry.
*hug* I'm so sorry. I've had my dog since I was 9, I can't even imagine how I will feel when she eventually passes. They're a part of your life, your family, sometimes they are the only one that is there when you need someone. It's a tough loss.
Thank you so much, just being so sad. Hate it so much. Animals are usually so much better than humans, I am only getting a parrot from now on that lives for 100 years so I will never feel this again.
Thank you Beverley, I am thinking of getting a kitten but I might get a bird that lives for 100 years.
Unfortunately, sometimes animals can have unforeseen physical ailments :-\ I had a cat suddenly pass from a heart attack and my dog had to be put down from cancer :'( I loved them both very much
I've had other animals come and go, but those two really stick in my mind
Right now I have an Iguana :) It will probably outlive me
Grieve and cry, Nayhdia, it's natural. Do not blame yourself, animals hide injuries and pain because in nature the sick and wounded are targeted first. I have had many animals in my life, each one takes a piece of you with them. And remember, if a parrot outlives you, it will cry when it loses you. Hugs, Devlyn
I'm sorry about your kitty, Nayhdia. They are so precious - the death of an animal companion can be the most consuming pain.
