Title: Ex girlfriends from 25 yrs ago
Post by: Amazon D on January 29, 2012, 07:21:58 AM
Yes recently i have been well as you might have noticed, very very absent here. I met a girlfriend online who i dated over 25 yrs ago. She is from a section of philadehpia pa called K+A. Kensington and Allegheny. Its now a drive by shooting area. It was pretty bad 25 yrs ago too. It was where all the drugs were sold and the cops didn't even dare go there then. Today well i shudder to think about what its like that it drove away my ex and her daughter.
So i found her online. I also found that she had a different last name. I called her job where she worked on computers for over 30 yrs and found out she was still there.. Wow we talked and talked and talked. She told me she met a guy, again, who this time was a winner. He lost his mom at 3 yrs old and was put in Milton Hershey school for children with one parent or none. He was raised there until 16. He did leave evenetally and got married and had a son. His wife soon died in a car accident and he was alone. Mean while my ex had moved to his neighborhood after almost getting caught between the crossfire of drug gangs. She told me how her mom died and her step dad took all her money and sent it overseas to some psychics.. He died too. She and this guy eventually met and they got married. Oh yea i forgot when she broke up with me in 86 she married a local herione addict she tried to straighten up as we had met at a NA meeting. I was running recovery homes. He never did get straight and she kicked him out. I had moved on to other things so she couldn't find me. She did have a son by him. He has turned out to be a good kid now in college becoming a police officer. The man she married who went thru hershey school also had a son with her. He is now 13 and has a mental disability. He is autistic. Anyway i invited them to my farm last october and he mentioned he would love to move to the country and that he may lose his job because it was in the process of being sold and moved to mexico. Well in november that happened. He was paid off for being laid off and his ira was cashed in as well as hers. Her boss was kind to her and she too was laid off. So they eventually after much persuasion bought an old schoolhouse out my way. It was built with chestnut lumber and had giant beams running full length. Many farmers and their families way past went thru that school. It was built in 1800. So on the 16th they went to settlement after she told her husband i could help her rebuild the building. He was afraid i couldn't but he eventually agreed. They had only the money for purchase and are now down to the last 2k to finish it. I have donated some support beams and some lolly columns and 10 days of 12 hour days of work. I also gave them some ash wood slabs i got from cutting a tree and having it milled. That went over to an amish mans shop to be made into a kitchen counter and face and sides for cabinets. All we need are plywood shelves and drawers etc.. Yesterday i started spackling and well we will be painting this week. They had to have a complete plumbing and heating installed. The man who is doing it is excellent. This area has many mennonites and this husband came from mennonite background as his last name shows. They are now sitting on a hillside overlooking dairy farms and state game lands. Its a pretty scene. She went from the inner city to the country. He went back to his roots and well i am so glad for her and for him. Soon i will have some pictures but i thought this was such a cute situation it needed to be shared for all to go awwwww so sweet  ..

anyway time will tell and i will soon be back here to haunt you again full time.

Great post.  I love a happy ending nowadays, turning into a big softy and it's nice.
The house sounds like a real find, and the location sounds perfect too.  You have done lots of good there.

Karen.
