I've NEVER used PayPal and I'm not really sure how safe it is. If anyone could please educate me on how the process works, I'd REALLY appreciate it! :)
I am interested in one of their binders but the problem is, I can't use my credit card. I can use paypal. I don't know how. And I checked on the paypal website and I think it said there is a fee for international things?
Anyone with any experience?
I don't know about there being a fee associated with it, but I use paypal and have had nothing but good experiences. All you do is sign up and link the card to your account. They are generally much safer than just using your card online. In the past I did not get the product I had ordered and paypal gave me a refund.
But, I have been using paypal for several years now, at least since 2006, so signing up might be different now. But they are pretty secure.
So if I were to pay for the binder with paypal, I wouldn't be giving my actual credit card information to Peecock? If so, that's great. You've never been overcharged or anything?
Exactly. The idea is that paypal gives out the payment without your credit card info being released. I have yet to be overcharged for anything, and I use paypal for all of my internet purchases. They send you reciepts for every transaction. If there is a fluke, they have in their TOS that they will refund you for any product not recieved, and any overcharge. Both myself and my boy have accounts, and we have never had any problems with them. I even called them once to cancel a payment (paid twice as much as I needed to for my therapist appointment) and they reversed in and let me resubmit the payment while I was still on the phone with them. You can even pay amounts in different currency. It was great when I ordered some stuff from Germany. No issues at all.
So from my experience, they are awesome.
Paypal is good.
I recently ordered some breast enhancers from overseas and there wasn't any international charge added by Paypal.
I've had no issues with Paypal. I sent cash to someone in a bind from this site. Paypal emailed me a notification about the payment which contained their ACTUAL name. I told the person, they were unaware that was going to happen. Just something to be aware of. Hugs, Devlyn
the only extra charges I've ever had with paypal was when doing the transaction in a non-US dollar currency, other then that was once notified that the seller of things might charge for credit card processing percentage. (they didn't)
Paypal is easy. I usually keep some money into the account to prevent delays in processing of orders. No fee involved using Ebay since they own it. The only fees I got is from the online registration to go on to reserve a spot at the conventions and events I go to and from other purchase sites. There are some other no fees.
Rules: https://cms.paypal.com/cgi-bin/marketingweb?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=ua/UserAgreement_full&bn_r=o#8. Fees.
Also paypal has a good fraud and phishing reporting system. I have forward a lot of phishing e-mails to their reporting system and usually get two responding e-mails from them. One is the confirmation of the message sent and the other up to a week later telling me whether it is fraudulent or not. Only one email I forwarded was not fraudulent in the three years I had Paypal. I get phished about once every 2 months.
