Title: How hard is it to put on a Tritop from Underworks? Do you feel out of breath...
Post by: nickm1492 on February 02, 2012, 07:53:44 PM
Do you feel out of breath with it?
I really don't want to feel like I'm hurting myself. So I am between this one and the Peecock they will be within my budget.

And I'm big chested. This looks REEEEEALLY tight lol How hard is it to actually get it on or even off for that matter

I wear the tri-top binder a few times a week, and I wear it all day. It was really hard to get on the first time because I tried to put it on over my head, but since then I just step into it and pull it up to my chest which is easier. I wear it while working out at the gym so it doesn't give me too much trouble with shortness of breath.

I wouldn't say I'm big chested though - probably around a B cup? I've never honestly measured.

I had difficulty getting into and breathing in the tritop for the first couple weeks I had it, when it was still super tight. I wear mine every day, usually over an undershirt so I don't have to wash it as often. I'm small-chested and I put it over my head. I used to step into the longer double-paneled one, though.

Ditto what the others said.  It's tight when new, but stretches out pretty fast if you wear it often.  I step into it as I find it easier, especially when it's a new one.  It can feel tight at first, but you get used to it.

I just got a tri-top from underworks a 3 days ago. I don't find it hard to put on at all, just like a shirt. That's how I put on my 997, as well. I feel some definite rib pain, especially around my heart from wearing it at work yesterday and today, but that's prob because I stupidly decided to get it a size too small. I should be in a medium, but got a small.

I have a much harder time getting it off then on. I can't imagine pulling it up. I stick one arm and my head in and then strech it over. Sometimes I hear my sholders crack but it doesn't hurt. Never felt rib pain. I don't think my ribs get a lot of pressure. I can breath normally.

Took a couple weeks for mine to loosen up, but I don't wear mine daily. Took longer for the smell to go away @_@. Don't worry, people can't smell your binder unless they get uncomfortably close :'P. It did make love-making that much more awkward though ;_;.

I found it to be super unbearable and really hard to put on, the design of the edges of it dig into my skin, and its impossible to take a full breath, and yes I did buy the correct size for my measurements

I stick to the double front

My boyfriend is extremely happy with the tri-top and he's actually rather good at getting it on and off (over his head), from the first day on actually. Says it's not too tight on his chest and/or breathing and is even planning to wear them during our two week hike this Summer. (he's on the larger chested side)

Lol I forgot about the smell. Yeah it smelled pretty chemically for awhile.

I hike and work out wearing mine. I think I'm actually starting to wear it too much. I've started to have a dull ache right over my sternum, and I don't know when it started because I only notice it when I stretch in certain ways. I've been wearing it for 8-10 hours a day for I think close to a year now, and I've only recently having trouble. Maybe it's because I got bigger. I've gained a lot of weight really fast. Yeah...lol so anybody going on T, maybe keep an eye on whether you need to change your binder size.  :eusa_doh:

Hah that's a good one to think about Felix!

One of my binders is tighter than the others, it would probably be best if I'd stop wearing it after starting T.
