I have moved states, and yesterday I registered to vote. I had given the woman my old North Carolina ID, telling her I was planning to get a new one soon. My current ID has a little white nail polish smudged on the "F" making it hard to read, but it isnt fully covered you can still see the top line of the F
anyway, when she handed me my form to check for errors, she had put me as male
I was super excited, and a little shocked, and I am hoping that when i get my new ID, they will simply look at me and give me a "M" on my ID
It has happened to a trans friend of mine, he got a new ID and they said "sir, your ID says female, do you want us to fix that mistake" and he said "it does? omg I never even noticed, yes please fix that" lol
just wanted to share

I would so do that.
Congrats! Sounds like one of those feel good moments, almost as good as when you find money on the ground.
I know a guy that had changed his name but not gender and went into the DMV when his renewal license arrived and said "do I look like a girl to you?" They corrected it without question and reissued a license with an M marker. At the time though gender was still being checked through the Social Security Administration so there were a few speed bumps he encountered later down the road, but nothing major.
Haha awesome! I've heard of that happening as well. Hopefully it'll work for you too. :)
Lol cool.
I had a doctor do that once. She started laughing and said "the funniest thing is they have you in here as a girl! I'm gonna go fix that."

WOW !!! What an offer. What's the name of your doctor? She can certainly do the same for me -- ANYTIME -- I'm available 24/7. (ROFL)
On a more serious note however, many years ago when I changed Superannuation companies they obviously must have intercepted my psyche and registered my membership in the category of Ms. with all appropriate pronouns. I am still stoked.
Be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs

Oh, smart idea with the nail polish. I'll have to try that. ;D
