Title: Super Bowl, Puppy Bowl, Madonna, and Commercials
Post by: Nygeel on February 05, 2012, 01:59:48 PM
What are you most excited about for today?

The Super Bowl where the Giants will play against the Patriots?

The halftime show which is reported to be Madonna and Nicki Minaj?

The Puppy Bowl, with a kitty halftime show?

New expensive commercials?

Being somewhat of a 'Sporty Girl' that loves a good laugh, I'm up for the game and the overpriced wacky commercials  :D

I do my best to avoid everything but the game (oh how I wish they would go back to a 12 minute halftime, not only to get rid of the horrible acts (really, is the qualification that you haven't had a hit in more than a decade?), but also the longer break disrupts the flow of the game.  So I have it on the TV, but the sound is down and I listen to the radio commentary.

C'mon, the puppy bowl is seriously where it's at. Watching it right now, and it's trending on twitter.

None of the above LOL  Everyone else I know is though.  And what is a "puppy bowl"?  Is it like some "best in show" kind of things?

I'll be watching the game at my favorite bar. I'm not really bothered by the NFL but if the Giants win, my roommate's boss wins $40,000. If the Patriots win, I win a whole dollar! Decent way to spend a Sunday I suppose.

The Puppy Bowl, with a kitty halftime show?

Does this mean there will be cats?

If so, I am completely content right now.

O:

HELL to the YES.

Yes. And it's going to be played over and over and over until 3am. There's a piggy pep squad, too.

Cats are showing up everywhere.  This is from a processor of the space satellite photos called "Space Caterday":

Madonna actually put on quite a halftime show with a medley of her songs  :)

Madge made it to a place she never thought she'd be: mediocre, inoffensive, and tired.  Time to retire girl, you're sell-by date was a couple of years ago.  The audio mix sucked - SUCKED - too, how do you do that with only two tracks to mix?

I usually use the Super Bowl as an excuse to go skiing, as nobody else is on the lifts.  Long story short, this year I ended up serving drinks in a gay bar, and the highlight was having hot guys flirting with me the whole time.

My friend said it looked like Martin Scorsese directed it and had his mom play Madonna.

Glad I missed it.  She had been going downhill for quite a while.  When she played Eva PerĂ³n in the movie Evita, a critic called her performance "Evita, yesterday's Velveeta".  Cheezy, the wrong way.
I didn't watch the Superbowl, I did see some of the commercials online.  The Audi commercial where a vampire party went terribly wrong because of the new daylight weighted LED headlights on the Audi brought in by the 'death' of the party with a case of O+ blood.  Bleh!

My work was very empty tonight on the midnight shift. I don't care much for sports - especially football. Just a bunch of guys humping each other for a ball, not really my thing.
