Hi, hope you are all well,
I have 3 months til my top surgery and I have been wondering if there is anything I should be doing to prepare? I have started eating better and plan to right up until surgery - like more veggies, lean proteins etc. I am also continuing to shed some kilos - I've lost 14 so far by doing very little, so I can't help but imagine what I can do if I actually try! I am attempting to try and build up my chest muscles etc also.. Oh and I've also quit smoking, well for the most part - I have moments of weakness every now and again and have one... :-\
But I was just curious if any other guys out there had any tips their surgeon gave them or any advice they got to aid healing and recovery time?? Any useful supplements?? Topical creams?? Massage?? Anything really!! Was just wondering if there was anything anyone would like to share that they wish they had have been told before their surgery... And if there was anything that you were told to definitely avoid (I know the main ones like aspirin etc)!!
Thanks in advance guys.

no smoking and dont drink herbal teas they can act as blood thinners so you will have more internal bleeding. as i havent had top surgery so i dont know any more. btw i like your picture.
I didn't know about the herbal teas thanks, will have to look into that! The picture - illusion fish bowl at the Mexican cantina - very awesome night haha!! ::D
Quitting smoking and exercising will make a huge difference. I had a series of (non trans-related) surgeries in the past few years, and the healing time and complications were very different from when I was more sedentary and a heavy smoker and when I was active and smoking much less.
Also make sure you can have as stress-free an environment afterward as possible.
