i know it decreases the space between the nose and the upper lip , but it doesnt make the upper lip shorted in width or change the shape of your lips ?
I recently got a lip lift as part of my FFS package and I think it's what I like most out of all the procedures done. For me, it did change the shape of my top lip. It looks more feminine and heart-shaped. The lift caused it to appear thicker. And now when I open my mouth slightly, I can see some of my upper front teeth.
A short upper lip is said to be one of the factors we humans subconsciously use in determining facial beauty. It is more common in women than in men. There's something about pearly white teeth, perfectly aligned, that the human animal finds attractive. It probably has something to do with perceived health and procreation, you know, survival of the fittest.
The procedure involves making an incision under the nose, in an area that easily hides scarring, and removing a section of skin underneath that. In the process a surgeon can try to expand the upper lip or curl it up to create a more feminine appearance.
Immediately after I had mine, my lips would not close naturally, as they had before. That was almost four years ago. Today that is no longer true. For me, the procedure was pretty much no big deal, but at the time I was in so much pain from FFS if there was any pain from the lip lift I wouldn't have known it. It healed quickly though. And you have to look very closely to see the scar.
So HRT alone will not change this or the lips?

Do you mean your LL has sagged back into the original position over time?

That's correct.
I had a Trach shave by Dr. Spiegel. And he mentioned that the lip lift is probably the single most female enhancing surgery. He quoted me 3500. My issue is it will take a long time for the scar to heal. So I will have to wait for a break from work where I can hide.

I'm due to have this done this year, to correct a droop on one side of my lips. I don't notice the droop when I look in a mirror but can in a photo of myself. I always thought it was me pulling an expression, but no. The pull upwards causes the lip to curl upwards and therefore show more flesh.
