after having 2 to 3 hour appiontment for nearly a year plus appiontment before that less frequenly for about two years as well i feel like i should be done removing facial hair permantely, but hair still persists in growing its not a thick full beard but its still a decent amount of hair underneath the neck uppper lip and sides of the face
does anyone else ever feel like it will never end and they will keep being finacially drained by electroylises for life
Well, I know how that feels...
I been at it, initially 1 hr 5 days A WEEK! And had some 6 – 7 laser sessions in-between! All for more then one year, that was last year.
At present and since this year, I actually could finally reduce to 1 hr a week, so things do look better sooner or later. Lots better.
After the 1 hr one weekly session a have my epilator go over what's left, and then still follow up with a good tweezers removing the leftover from the epilator.
I use VERY critical down-lighting, so I see stuff not really seen in normal lighting...
In any case we ARE all different and some women are done much, MUCH sooner then myself. They just more lucky I guess.
Maybe it also helps that I'm post-op since past 5 month...
So, DO NOT DISPARE - it will get better lots - eventually, and when it does so finally, it gets better pretty fast also in my experience.
Sort of getting over a hump.
Have to hang in there, hon!

Hi Axelle I don't mean to be a bore but you really shouldn't be using an epilator and/or tweezing if you're having electrolysis. In doing so you're extending your time to completion and if you're going for electro and epilating every week you wont be able to see the extent of the remaining hairs that you have. A tweezed/epilated hair can take as long as 9 weeks to re-appear depending on the area. Not only that but tweezing hair can actually strengthen them, making it harder to remove them, more energy+more discomfort... The hairs you're tweezing one week won't be that hair you're seeing the week after, with this in mind you can get an idea of the remaining hairs that you still have, this is going to considerably more than you think. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If you want to get an idea of just how many hairs you still have then don't epilate or tweeze them. inside of a few weeks you'll be able to get an idea of just how many are left. It will also make clear what length of appointment you might need to get things under control.
It does take some time to get the situation to a point where you can have all the hairs treated in an hour/hour and a bit long appointment. When you do get to this stage and you're not shaving you are nearing the end. Once you stop shaving though you're going to notice the smaller slower growing hairs that are normally shaved off before they can be seen properly. This might get you thinking about re-growth but that's not what it is. It's simply that they now get a chance to grow large enough to see. This is good for your electrologist because they can now start to treat these and they are easier to get than typical beard growth.
It is a long road to get to a "smooth" face but it does happen. Regular appointments and not plucking will go some way to achieving this in the shortest time. I'd be surprised if your electrologist hasn't stressed this?
mementomori It's sad that a lot of electrologists insist on charging a small fortune for their services. Where block bookings of 2 or more hours are being completed prices should be lowered accordingly. It is a lot easier for the electrologist to do longer bookings than it is to do lots of shorter ones. There's less changeover time, less swapping equipment and no gaps between appointments. This benefit could easily be passed on to the clients, specifically the transgender ones who are requiring extensive work. I'm planning on turning things on their head in the London area once I get up and running properly. I'm going to be charging considerably less than everyone and trying to make this essential and life changing service an affordable reality. How can someone pretend they really care about helping someone when they charge so much money for doing so..... Feel free to PM me and I'll try to give you some more specific advice. It could be that you're not receiving effective treatment. If I have some more information I might be able to help.
When you say "After having 2 to 3 hour appiontment for nearly a year plus appiontment before that less frequenly for about two years as well i feel like i should be done removing facial hair permanently" Were you having weekly or fortnightly appointments regularly throughout the entire year? If your appointments were few and far between that's one of the things slowing your progress down. It's how frequently you go in for work that's important, not over what time period.
I hope this helps.
If Anyone has any questions feel free to PM me if you're not comfortable posting publicly and I'll try to help :)
