Title: Spotting or a Tear? Either way is bad.
Post by: Nygeel on March 01, 2012, 04:45:25 PM
Hello. I've been on T for over 15 months and I noticed what I thought might be blood while doing a clean up of sorts to the neather bits. I thought it was weird but didn't write it as being anything. Today I had the same thing and found the source to not be the urethra but from "the cave of wonders." I'm not sure if it's spotting or from...exerting myself, causing a tear. Has this happened to anybody and how do I find out which it is (I'm avoiding the doctor)?

If the cave of wonders is the culprit there are a myriad of reasons why such a thing could happen. Given that you're on T though, it could be the dose needs adjusting - that it's low enough that things have built up in the cave and are finding their way out. Any kind of "exertion" involving the cave could disrupt things there and also cause it. Also that could cause an actual injury but from what I understand that's really hard to do - I mean that whole area is built for taking a pounding so to speak and from listing to women talk about it, it seems actual tears only occur when something very huge is either going in or coming out!

I'm sure most will say "go see your doctor". Doctors don't always know what's going on in that area either. But whoever you're seeing about the hormones it might be good to bring it up to them so they can run some tests on the levels. It's probably one of those "watch and wait" type of things where if it keeps happening it might be cause for concern.

I'm on the maximum allowed dose and I'm getting hormones tested in April for my check up.

Probably just spotting.  I have that too sometimes mostly if I've been masturbating, orgasms contract the uterus/cervix and some blood/tissue/whatever slips out.

I've never had spotting while on T, but I have noticed that the use of toys causes small tears a bit easier than they used to, and as already stated, that would be bright reddish.  If you're not inserting anything or having any rough contact with the outside area, then I'd imagine it's spotting.  I've read a few sources that say it's not all that uncommon on T to spot occasionally.

I wish this topic were in Just for Us...

On T, I have much more intense orgasms than I used to. There was just a little blood the other day, right after a particularly vehement orgasm. I convinced myself to just keep an eye on things over the next couple of months, but I was a bit worried. Andy has given me some hope.
