I guess it's time to do an introduction.
I have been lurking here for a while, trying to figure things out, and finally decided to join the community. I like the pen name Soter though it's neither my birth name, nor the name I wish to someday have scribbled all over my legal documents (I'm still not sure if I'm going to use that name on here for some personal reasons but I'll post it if I can).
I fist learned that trans and non binary people exist about nine months ago, it felt indescribably good and confusing. Since then I have been reading and learning to make sure it is the correct fit for me (I don't like to blindly jump into things, especially ones this big).
I am still questioning but I prefer the label genderqueer, though I'm really not one for labeling.
I'm not out to most people (a few very close friends) but that's going to change soon. In fact I want to come out and help make the world a less binary place.
I have a long and confusing road ahead of me but I look forward to having the help of all of you.
I also apparently like to organize my thoughts into lists. :)
Hi Soter,
A warm welcome to Susan's. Sounds like you fit in quite well here. There are lots of people here that think like you, so you among friends.
You've been thinking about this for a while, and it looks like you have the solution in hand. Sould you want to take it to the next level, perhaps a good therapist, conversant with TG matters, could help you along the way.
Otherwise, just keep asking questions here, you're bound to find your identity soon.
Keep in touch and let us know how you are coping. In the meantime, be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Hi Soter,
Welcome, don't worry about labels you are you and that's the important thing. We are a mixed bunch but we have one thing in common. We are a family of friends who all know the problems we face and are happy to help each other.
Cindy

With you on that one, kiddo!
Thanks for the welcoming words everyone, I like your post as well Cindy. I think I'll fit in well here. I'm glad you all liked my thought on the less binary world and I am probably going to spend a lot of time in the activism section. If any of you have other suggestions on how to become active, please tell me. I'm still young to all of this, but I want to help others see that they don't have to live as their born sex.
But now I'm off to androgyne land, probably to do another introduction for the folks there. I know some of them have said they don't get out of the unicorn forest much...
Thanks again for the welcome, see you all around.
Soter
