Title: Lurking in the backgrounds
Post by: Aurora on March 25, 2007, 05:40:16 AM

Hello Everyone,

I have been here awhile, but thought I should stop in and introduce myself.

My name is Aurora.  I first came here 3 years ago, when I was very lost and confused.  This place has always held a place in my heart.  I would post more, but unfortunately, I just do not have the time to get all my depth and emotions expressed.  For that, I am sorry, but be assured you shall hear from me once in awhile, and I hope it will always have some substance.  I just do know how some of you do it.  It really amazes me.  I sometimes come here just to cry with you and your stories and see you transcend.

I am a M to F TS, Woman.  I am living full time, and this summer will be post op.  I will be getting an orchiectomy, which will complete my transition.  That day can not come soon enough.  The scariest thing in my transition was telling my family.  They were more upset at me for keeping it secret for so long then the fact I was going to be there daughter.  They were right in the end; the greatest gift they ever could give me was there unconditional love.  So if I could give you any advice, do not leave the ones you love in the dark.  They may be the ones to give you the strength to believe in everything you are.

I shall be lurking in the background.  Know that I love you all, and everything you may become.

XOXOXOXOXO

~Aurora

Hail aurora, glad to read you, but if I must say, having an orchiectomy does not make you post-op.  don't want to sound shallow or anything, just telling you that any man can have an orchiectomy for a number of medical reasons; hence an orchiectomy does not make any TS woman post-op.  only a vaginoplasty does. And by 'vaginoplasty' I mean this:

Hey, Aurora, Welcome! Don't just lurk though, I want your input, your thoughts about these topics. You have spent a lot of time on them, I'm sure, and we need your help!
Blessings, Tara

6" 4"???  Have you watched any women's basketball lately?

The biggest part of passing (IMHO) is attitude.  Believe in your womanhood and others will, too.

Aurora,

I am so glad to have met you here. Your frankness has been just what I've needed as I start my journey. From what I've seen of your posts you push the envelop and that is not a bad thing.

It makes me sad that you would keep lurking and not share your insights with us. I need people like you in my life.

I'm always open to private messages through Susan's Place if you want so share in that way.

Debbie

Hi Aurora,
I'm glad you have share a little about yourself.
And I am happy for you. To be so close to complete the jounery has got to be exciting. Oh and you are very lucky to have such a loving understand family. Many of us only are not the fortunet.
Do post more often, as Debbie said

Aurora,

Welcome and thanks for posting. I'm encouraged by your words to work up the courage to let my parents in on what has been happening in my life. I've let them in on so little over the years, the've always thought I was different and couldn't figure it out. Thanks for the advice and I look forward to more thoughtful posts.

Rhonda
