Title: Finally my turn!
Post by: Nemo on March 09, 2012, 05:42:38 PM
After nearly a year of hell thanks to sucky HRT post-hysto, and what generally seems like a lifetime, I finally have something to look forward to.

On 18th April I get a new, male chest! :D Just in time for the summer too, was really praying I wouldn't have to face another year of sweltering underneath a binder in the scorching heat - so I get to take off my shirt instead, hehe ;)

Details for those who are interested: I had a single reduction at 21 to bring a DD breast down to match the C sized one. This has limited my options somewhat - the best way round it is a standard DI with nipple grafts. I'm going with a fairly new guy in Hull and East Yorkshire Hospital called Peter Kneeshaw, who's very nice and approachable, and the guys who've gone with him before have had nothing but good things to say about him, so I'm confident it'll turn out well :) I'll be sure to post pics when it's done, since he has none yet.

Now, if you don't mind, I'll be back to dancing round the bedroom... YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!! :icon_joy:

Thanks ;D

... Um.. *looks around* Maybe I should've posted this in the FTM Top bit rather than this one? :embarrassed:

Heh, thanks Arch :3

And thanks guys ;D Certainly a big landmark transition-wise, but I've had more problems with HRT.. Wish me luck for Tuesday, am hoping I can finally get that part sorted out and back working properly... Still, with the way I've been feeling for the past year, this is a much-needed lift :)

Hi guys, thanks for the well wishes - am recuperating at my Mum's place for a couple of weeks 'til I'm back at work.

Op went very well, no complications, have a nice flat chest that's currently squeezed in by tight dressings and a hospital corset thing to keep the swelling down, which most likely is helping with the pain as I don't feel any ^_^ Nurses couldn't figure how I never needed any painkillers in hospital - high pain threshold FTW ;D

Will get pics when I'm back home - not to mention feeling better, sometimes feel pretty spaced out what with the anesthetic still draining from my system, but K's coming down to visit over this weekend which is a nice bonus - am overall very happy with results so far :)

Okay, back in Leeds now, I can add some pics ;D

For comparison, this is how I looked before, freshly drawn on ready for surgery ;)

Because I was uneven before, the folds below the breasts were lop-sided. Mr Kneeshaw said he couldn't promise symmetry for that reason, but he'd try his best.

Below is the result, two weeks later - I think he managed ;D

There was still some dried blood around the left graft - that's at least partly why it looks darker than the right.

Been recovering very well, went to see him on Monday, he was very happy with the result. I have noticed some puckering on the scars underneath since changing the tape, am hoping that'll rectify itself in time. Am pleasantly surprised otherwise though, given the results I've seen elsewhere I wasn't expecting the areolas to already be this pink :) Gotta make a return trip to Hull in a few weeks, when I've already gotta pay out for other stuff... ugh XP

Nemo, looks really good. One areola seems a little closer to the armpit than the other, but I'm scrutinizing every little detail. The scars look nicely placed, too--mine aren't all that great, but I won't be going shirtless at the beach anyway. Except for the tape, your chest just looks like a normal guy's.

I had a lot of puckering, too, and it all smoothed out.

You must be so relieved...

I'm curious, though--in your before pic, you look about the same size I was...how much tissue did the surgeon take out? I had close to 3 1/2 pounds removed, but my ex kept telling me I was a C cup. I thought I was much larger, like a D (well, they seemed so huge), but you say you were a C.

Thanks :) Oh, I am relieved; no more backache, no more uneven pecs, no more sweltering in the summer.. ;D Keep checking how it looks in the mirror - shirts actually fit properly now, in fact there's some I've shrunk out of.

Yeah, I've noticed some swelling/misplaced breast tissue/whatever it is, where there's some squishy bits around the right armpit area - that may be affecting the placement. Something else I hope will settle in time, too early to tell ATM. As for the scars, considering the initial areas were off, he's done a great job :)

He hasn't said how much he took out *shrug* But at 21 I had the right side reduced from a DD to match the left, which was a C. They got stretched and otherwise misaligned after pregnancy, so I'm pretty sure the right went down to a B.. no idea what the left measured, it fit into a C bra but could've been a bit bigger. Was so long ago now I forget.
