With the number of trans people who are diagnosed with some sort of psychological condition* - I myself suffer from agoraphobia, could ->-bleeped-<- be a sort of meta psychological problem?

My understanding of phobias is that they can result from a sudden change in lifestyle. I have developed agoraphobia also. I no longer go to movies, concerts, etc. Even grocery shopping I do at night in order to avoid people. I beleive it began after I moved from one country to another and was brought on by culture shock. Maybe some of us think we are not conforming to what society expects of us. That could develop into agoraphobia.

The problem with that argument is that most who have phobias, for example, are not transgender.

Equally, many who have transgender have no other significant psychological problems.
