Title: Tritop binder question
Post by: ForWantOf on March 17, 2012, 12:18:19 PM
I'm going to be buying a new binder soon and I'm probably going to go with the Tritop. But before I buy, I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to post pictures of their Tritop on? Showing how flat it makes you and what not. The reason I ask is because I have a binder from Les Love Boat that I'm just not very satisfied with, so I'd like to see how this works in comparison.

I did use the search function to try and find pictures, but the problem is they were old threads and it seemed a little pointless to revive them just to ask questions about measurements.

So yeah, basically just if anyone wouldn't mind, pictures of your Tritop on and chest size if possible.

Thanks.  :)

don't really want to post a pic, but the tri top is the third underworks binder i've bought. the first being the double front 997, then the chest only 983. 983 binds better than 997 and the tri top gets me the flattest of all (I'm pretty sure I'm only an A cup, however). The tri top squeezes the shiz out of me tho (makes the skin under my pits bunches up) but I'm wearing it a lot hoping to stretch it out. I'm flat as a freaking board tho. As in flat as a cismale in a wifebeater tank top kind of flat. Enjoy :)

I can't post pics because mine doesn't fit me anymore, but I was really pleased with the tritop. It binds well and doesn't roll up, so I was able to forget it was there a lot of the time.

Actually here's a really old pic, but it's the only one I've got, I think:

Thanks guys!

Those all look really good, much better than my binder. Although I think I might be a bit bigger than you guys? My measurement at the largest part of my chest is like 36 inches.

Here's a picture for reference:
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi682.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv187%2FNoIdentifier%2F345.png&hash=1041fd4d27e2fa0849b8fbe9c1bc7eb0777f19b7)

This is the 2nd Gen. Jersey Mesh Velcro binder.
I feel like it has an uneven bind and doesn't bind as much as it could, and it's also really terrible at holding things in place. So I'm hoping the Tritop will work for me.

Thanks a lot everyone.  :)

I measure a larger C, and this is how I look with a small tritop. Hope it works well for ya, man!

Thank you Kyle! That looks really great.

You said that's a small, was the the size you you got from the chart or did you just go smaller? If you went smaller is it uncomfortable at all or do you have any breathing issues? Sorry for bombarding you with questions but I'm kind of a newbie with binders.

I don't have any pics, but if I remember correctly, I'm about 37 inches around the largest part of my chest, I was a B when I wore bras. I got a L in the 2nd gen jersey mesh and a M in the tri-top. I much prefer the tri-top over the jersey mesh. For me, it felt like my chest was falling out of the bottom of the binder in the jersey mesh. I also didn't like the way my chest still felt squishy in it, as opposed to feeling harder and more like pecs in the tri-top. Yeah, the tri-top digs in under my arms some, but overall I like it much better. Hope it works out well for you too man :)

Yep, its a small. I went down a size from my chart size. The medium 997 I bought first lost a lot of its binding effect pretty quickly for me. It doesn't do much for me anymore :/ The small tritop was certainly uncomfortable for the first week and it felt like my ribs were being crushed. However, I have a little extra stomach flab which makes it roll up to a kind of bra line area, so thats probably the only reason it hurt me. I really only find it hurts now when I've been in it for like 14 hrs in a day, and my shoulders hurt from trying to pull it down farther on my stomach everyday. Though it rolls up on me, it still binds well, and my chest isn't very noticeable at all. And np, always happy to help :)

I have the exact same problem, it's quite annoying. But thank you for your input, it helps a lot!  :)

And thank you as well, that looks really amazing! Kind of excited about getting this binder now.

I should be getting it within the next couple of weeks so I'll post pictures of it ITT for anyone in the future who could find it useful.

Thanks again everyone! :)

What I did was trim my tritops so that they wouldnt roll up, due to my stomach also :-\
To the op, the tritop is three layers, and very tight. It gets you pretty flat, but it just squishes everything in.

Hi I'm new and I found this site looking for binder reviews.

I was going to buy a peecoks product but then heard the bad reviews and decided not to. I was disappointed with my first binder (T Kingdom) and wanted one that would definitely work. I've decided to buy a new one and was looking at the Tri-top . I just have a few questions.

Will this be any good for a DD/E? I'm a weird shape- I'm large but then rib-wise I'm actually very small. According to the site measurements I'm between a small and an extra-small. How accurate is the size chart on the website and what would you suggest going with? I'm determined to get a flat chest but I don't want any lung or rib damage.

Thank you so much for your help guys!

I know you posted this sometime ago, but I'd just go with the size you measured. Maybe a small just to be safe. Also they do have an exchange thing if you read on their site (underworks). You do have to pay to ship it back to them but not to have your exchange shipped out which is decent.  :)

And thanks poptart. That looks really great! Hoping mine will turn out just as well.

I'm just about to order mine (finally have money) and will have it within a few weeks. I think I'm going to go with a small although I measure for a medium, and I plan on posting pictures within the next few weeks.

I ended up getting a x-small and am glad I did. Although it is very painful to get on and off, when its on it is actually not too uncomfortable and after a bit of re-positioning I can get a pretty much flat chest.

I got an Underworks binder some time ago - pretty sure it was the double-front compression shirt but it has started to lose some of its ability to bind lately (when I wear it I don't really feel like it's hiding my chest at all). It's also always had a problem with rolling up, and I thought maybe I could get the tritop to avoid that problem.

Has anyone found that the tri-top rolls up a lot, sometimes, not at all? I'm not the thinnest person imaginable so I'm kind of afraid that my belly is the cause of the rolling-up and no matter what binder I buy I'll have the same problem. :(

I had no problems with the tritop ever rolling up until I developed a belly. It doesn't roll much though and I just fold up the lower inch or so so I don't have to deal with it.

Just got mine and it does roll up for me, but not very much (so far, only had it for a day). I do have a gut and it really doesn't seem to make it roll up so much as my hips do. I've heard of people cutting theirs a little shorter or just folding up the bottom a little, so I guess you gotta play with it a bit.

So as mentioned above, I finally got my binder!

Already, it's miles better than my Les Love Boat binder and I'm pretty overjoyed with it. It turns out I did measure for a small and that's what I went with, in black if that makes any difference.
From the front, I am pretty much completely flat. From the side, there is still a little "something" but I think it looks much more natural and like a male chest, especially compared to my old binder.

I'm really satisfied with it so far, although it is a pain to get on and off it's quite worth it!

Here's a picture for anyone that's interested:
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi682.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv187%2FNoIdentifier%2FDSC05252.jpg&hash=4d61ed51d7a1e97a36cb81048dd4e8ab459bde35)

This is me in a fairly fitter shirt, so you can see it works pretty well.
