Title: New and learning
Post by: Cindy Kate on March 21, 2012, 02:40:14 PM
Just call me Cindy Kate. I'm not transgender, don't know anyone who personally is. I'm only curious about people who are and the sort of problems they have to overcome. I know little because of media coverage, but wish to understand more. I came upon this site by accident.

Hi Cindy Kate, welcome to Susans! Now you know a transgendered person, me! I am 50, I like to crossdress and I don't know why. We all have slightly different reasons for being here. The important thing is that we all respect one another. We're glad you found the site, join in the conversation and start making friends! See you around, hugs, Devlyn

Hi and welcome.  I am 58 and a well and truly  "out" Transsexual Lipstick Lesbian, who realised what had been going wrong a couple of years ago.  So, you can see we are a pretty varied bunch, with a lot of different experiences, and friendly to boot.

Karen.

Hi Cindy
From Cindy.

Just a few rules

Hi, and welcome to Susan's! We have people come to visit us from all over the world, expressing different points of view, and you are likely to find someone to help you along your way

Here are some important links and things to ponder as you begin your journey here.

•   Site Terms of Service and rules to live by are in the announcement area and include:
•   Standard Terms and Definitions
•   Post Ranks ( including when you can upload an avatar/post links and photos)
•   Age and the Forum
•   Reputation rules
Feel free to post and discuss anything within the rules, if you make a mistake, don't panic, report it to a Mod, there is a button to the right of your post.
If a post upsets, or is insulting to you report it to a Mod. Do not take action yourself. We are here to help you and maintain the site for all.
Our mission is to be a support site for gender dysmorphic people of any situation, so feel at home and feel comfortable. You are now family.

We are very much a support site and we are very normal people with some exceptions that we will not name at the moment , sorry just joking. The people here are my dear friends and we joke and play around and be serious when we need to.

I'm a TG person, I was born with deformities that made me look like a physical male. These are now being corrected and I live as myself, a female.

There is nothing odd about TG people, we are strangely normal, but we are often not accepted. Goddess knows why.

I have a full and happy life and really don't give a damn what people think about me. I'm me.

Cindy

Hi Cindy Kate,
Another warm Aussie welcome to Susan's. You don't have to be anything to be respected and accepted here. It comes with the joining. If you want to understand some of the challenges we have to over come, there are plenty of examples contained herein. But hey! We all have challenges, and I'll bet some of yours are probably greater than ours.

Love to hear more of your story of survival in time to come, however in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine
